Was this review late in getting posted? I completely missed it if it was put up yesterday.

Well, I will be buying this one eventually. I think its been released on these shores.

I bought this for $9.99! You can't beat that price for a CD/DVD. Normally I'm hesitant to buy live releases, but when it's cheap I'm cool. This album is very good, but there is definitely some studio dubs involved and I hate that.

I've seen Sonata live twice now. The set list on the DVD is almost identical to first show I saw from them. In both shows they opened with Misplaced and Blinded No More. Though I like Blinded No More it really does kill the amazing energy that Misplaced always creates. They really should follow up Misplaced with something like 8th Commandment or even Wildfire which I don't think they play live. For some reason they don't play Wolf and Raven very much either and that is probably one of their most popular songs. Maybe it's TOO fast for them to play live.

That's my favorite song by them. And yeah, they didn't play it when I saw them a while back.

"Full Moon" is fucking awesome! I really, really, really, REALLY love their cover of "Still Loving You" (Scorpions). What a brilliant cover!

Sonata Arctica are in my opinion the best band in existence.
I also believe them to be the Beatles of metal.

unless you've heard every band in existance then you can't make a comment like that. Just say they're your favourite band.

Anyway I bought the DVD/CD version of this last week and finally got round to watching it last night. Really good, and nice to see so many songs from Ecliptica getting played (bastards missed FullMoon when I saw them last year). My only real complaint is that the bass is even more ridiculously low in the mix than usual (and Marko's shy stage presence doesn't really help with that).

My biggest complaint other than the lack of Wolf and Raven is the fact that they reduced White Pearl, Black Oceans to a cameo.

I think there are less overdubs than people have been suggesting. It's almost an assumption nowadays when you hear a really good performance, but I noticed some mistakes that if they were going to bother overdubbing, would likely have been gone.
