I gave far too many examples for you to say this, I could give many more, as well. I could also dig up interview after interview with the band stating such, I could also post Gamma Ray lyrics to show the themes carried over to them, too. I wasn't wrong in that thread, not even close.

then, I'd like to say i'm not in any battle here... and, imo, the difference between your reviews and Misha's is that whaen Misha tries to open the minds, propose different musics, you just review the most mtv oriented crap there is nowadays in metal (aka nu metal)... but I'm glad somebody does it, and I'm actually glad it is you 'cause you really love this crap then feel no need to put it down like so many other reviewers would...

Once again, I've reviewed two fucking nu-metal albums. And once again you prove your ignorance by saying I review the most MTV-oriented crap! Totally fucking ridiculous as I review some of the most obscure fucking bands on this site!

obsure because they're crap... yes... but MTV wanabes anyway...

and, no, having xtian values and showing it in your lyrics doesn't make Helloween a xtian band...

and please, if you're answer will be another attempt at having a flamewar... don't.

I never called them a Christian band.

Sorry, bud, you can't say stupid things that are flat out, 100% incorrect and then walk away pointing the finger at someone else. Although it does come off as a typically French thing to do.

Stefan, since the day I began posting here all you do is run around dropping a little gas on the flame and then step back and go, "wasn't me!" That is your nature. You just sat here and made stupid—yes, VERY stupid—comments—and completely, 100% incorrect, mind you—about what I review and then back away and pretend like I'm starting a flame war when I respond. That's like you punching me, then I punch you back, then you run to Mommy and scream about how I'm a troublemaker. It's disturbing at how utterly delusional a grown man can be.

But it's only about me getting the last word, right? It has absolutely nothing to do with you being a trolling asshole, right? Noooo!

you punched first this time, and I'll leave you the last punch too... and stop the paranoia, would you ? I don't care who posted when I reply... and if you think my comments are stupid, well, some disagree with you...

actually, I think the best would be not to respond to anything you post anymore if it may appear a tad controversial... so that's what I'll do from now on...

Ken, it's cool that you don't exclusively review metal, just don't go criticizing when other people do the same

Yeah, that's not meant to start a flame war, right? See, you say these things and then you walk away spouting off nonsense about the other person being wrong and not being able to admit it, and how the other person is the one that started it, and even though YOU continuously reply they're the one that has to have the last word! Hahaha. And now, of course, you're just not going to reply to my posts anymore. Brilliant.

What you say about my reviews is completely ignorant and stupid. FACT.

Stefan, that was a bit OTT. I know you're like that with everyone, but Ken does seem to get you more riled than others...

ANYWAYS, as I said, this is good stuff Misha. Keep these 'faggy' non-metal reviews going, both you and Ken. Even if I'm the only one that liked the Vokee... (checked Bhangra out yet, man?)

Edit: at the risk of starting another flame war, I like how Ken and Stefan get away with taking someone else's topic off-course, yet when I get slightly close to it everyones' all "OMG zad thread-killa!!!111". Hypocrites. :o

That's because we're inconsistent, it's almost like a treat when we go off-topic. With you, it's a given.

A treat? :?

Get your head out of your arse, man! If there's one thing we can count on it's the two of you at it like horny stags on viagra surrounded by the pick of the deer crop. And it makes for fantastic entertainment, but it's not a 'treat'. A treat would be seeing the two of you actually humbling yourselves for once. But that won't happen. No.

So!

Stop avoiding the issue: have you or have you not checked out the wonder that is Bhangra?

How should we humble ourselves? I've seen everyone one this board, including myself (before anyone says anything), apologize at some point. Stefan doesn't. He says a bunch of bullshit to start arguments, or to egg on arguments, and then he turns his back and pretends like he's taking the high road. I do apologize that I can't just let that stuff go, especially when it comes to my reviews, reviews that I spend, on average, 3 hours writing. I usually write multiple reviews per week, too. Yet I'm supposed to be cool with someone telling me my reviews suck, or that I review MTV-oriented crap? Please. I enjoy discussing music with Stefan, but I don't take kindly to people discrediting something that I put a LOT of time and care into just because he may have a personal issue with me (which is ridiculous to begin with), I will not humble myself against something like that. Nor would you.

That would be a negative as I've been busy, but I do have that on deck.

The guy's a troll, agreed. But what marks him out from WiC is that he's a lovable troll. When he's not talking bullshit about MTV music that he listens to more than the rest of us, he's actually a pretty knowledgable music source. And, though shooting the shit has become a fashinable sideline this end, the main reason I joined was to learn about music. And, so far, I've learnt more from him than you. That's nothing against you, who've taught me a lot, just saying it's a pretty good reason to cut him some slack. I can understand why you wouldn't want to, and I respect that, and you for it.

The two of you have quite a lot in common, it's a shame you don't get on better. Spoils the big, happy family setup we have, although I suppose everyone argues. What does he have against you, anyway?

I can get along fine with people who disagree with me musically, I've shown it time and time again. There are some people, though, that can't accept a difference of opinion and sometimes they just talk shit instead. I've never once slammed anyone here for the music they like. I generally stay out of the black/death forum for this reason, yet it's almost a guarantee that when I post about something that may be outside the norm there will be a few people that start talking shit about the music and me for liking it. Now, lately, I've been getting attacked over my reviews. Again, 2 nu-metal reviews out of 30 doesn't not make me a nu-metal reviewer, but you wouldn't know if you listen to Stefan.

It's all about reaction. A lot of you think I'm an asshole because I'm opinionated and passionate about what I love, music. But I've never really been an asshole to anyone here, not until I've been attacked first. I have no issues with Stefan, we don't see eye-to-eye on things, not a big deal. I can discuss it, but I won't have someone slander my work "just because."

Heh, "Eyesore h8s BM!!11" did get a bit ridiculous. And a lot of the shit you get, I think, is to do with the fact that metalheads are pretty closed-minded as a rule. Look at me, only recently giving PM a chance, so consumed was I by BM. And guess what? It's great! And your reviews are a good way to check a variety of stuff. Being truthful, I often skip bands now that are BM or DM, because I want something new. And both you and Misha provide that. So, I know I've said it before, but apologies for talking shit about yours in the past, and kudos for the future.

With you, I'm not so sure it's about the passion so much, but this 'failure to use smilies' bollocks that wrecks 8/10 conversations online. People need to grow thicker skins.

Dude, I don't think you're an asshole, and I hiope you reciprocate.

Anyways. Music rules.

Yeah, a bit. Hehe. I make sure I don't post unless I know the band. The BMers are a tough crowd.

Nah, I think it has more to do with the way I come across than anything. The only thing I can do, which I have, is say, "Hey, music is my first love. It's what drives me, what keeps me whole, inspires me, lifts me when I'm depressed, yadda-yadda..." If I come across as a little too forthright, my apologies. I don't think anyone's opinion is less valid than my own if it's an opinion and not some direct contradiction to fact (i.e. Ken only reviews nu-metal or pop shite, etc.).

Music is my love and I will defend her to the death.

I have been using smilies, it hasn't helped! Hehehe. Seriously. And I've learned a great deal from your suggestions, too, my man. That's what it's all about.
