Dude, this video is actually pretty freaking cool, its just soo.....red. There are a few cheesey places (like that chick that comes out of nowhere and starts thrashing around um wtf.) but overall I am digging this. And The Antidote was a flaming piece of shit by the way I sold it for two dollars. This new stuff almost reminds me of Graveworm, sweet. Do they have any more samples, I am not totally comitted to a buy with only the one song....

Check amazon.com for samples. This band hasn't released a bad album yet, in my opinion. Some are better than others, but none are anywhere close to bad.

You know Ken, I am way dissapointed in this album and it sucks Man. Just doesn't sound like Moonspell to me, parts yeah but I don't know man, it doesn't suck, but it just doesn't get me hard like they usually do, and this is one I am really trying hard on.

Nice review and yeah I have heard Deamonarch as well. I am somewhat weird and BM purist when it come to BM so hardly call them that, but Moonspell is one of my favorite bands ever.

What would you call Daemonarch then?

Not Black Metal bro. Black Metal is Mayhem, Emperor, Countess, Wyrd, Morrigan, Meggido, Levithan, Craft, Tearstaind, Anal Nathrak, AnataeuS, Deathspell Omega and shit like that. This falls into that dark metal with black metal vocals area or some shit.

Listening to this for the first time and it's awesome. I need to hear some of their other stuff.

I don't know, it's a mix of very early Moonspell and some of the latter stuff. I love it.

I'm no expert on black metal, but I've heard a lot and Daemonarch sounds like black metal to me. Dark metal? I don't think so.

Yeah, just not what I consider BM. Maybe some Rotting Christ can be hear in there. I know people that think Graveworm and the like are BM so to each his own, I am not weird about it.

Yeah I know it is a mix, but I don't dig it so much.

Wolfheart is awesome, but I actually find this new one to be their best yet. All eras are incorporated, the early style more so, and it's heavy as hell. A stunning album in my book.

wow, i kinda like this album. it's a way better moonspell from their previous 2 releases. butterfly fx in my opinion sucked big time. but this isnt as good as wolfheart. that's still a milestone that cant be emulated.

but sumhow this record fails on the drumming. bad awful drumming. it's all about d pedal and snares. cymbalwork sucks.

but they've got some killer solos back. just luv 'upon the blood of men'.

No se even though I am as hated as much as you my brother, I have to disagree and say I can't stand Memorial and think the Antidote totally owns. Can't stand is harsh, I would the work for certain other things, but still, Antidote and Butterfly FX is Moonspell to me.

I just picked this up today, and I found myself falling in love .. I think the biggest improvement was the return of some decent riffs. You can say all you want about style (don't hear any BM myself) .. but quality riffs can make anything sound good.

I'm sure I mentioned somewhere in this thread that I love everything they've done, but if you dig Memorial, do check out the new album. It's my favorite of 2008 right now.
