...but, I liked NGE - Which led me to read the recent thread regarding that series, which caused me to see Radical Cut's comments on Beserk, which led me to buy THAT series. And, since watching the first few eps of Beserk, all I have to say is...

Totally fucking awesome.

Thus far. Got more to watch, but so far I love the fuck outta this series. Good shit.

I gotta get my hands on more anime stuff too. I'll start working on it this summer, I got a friend who has almost every anime that has been done so far, the guy's a maniac.

Berserk is indeed an awesome anime, it sucks however that it was cancelled after one season because the story just cuts off. If you wish to continue it, you have to buy the Manga.

Right now, Im really into the japanese version of One Piece (I cant believe how much they kidified the english version, fuck anime done in english) The show in japanese is one of the funniest things I have ever seen, plus its about pirates, so its win/win.

Other than a few exceptions I loathe anime.

So far I've seen three: Cowboy Bebop, Outlaw Star, and Trigun, and let me say that Trigun is one of the most awesome things I've ever seen in my entire life. Seriously.

I picked up the first DVD of Neon Genesis Evangelion, and it's pretty good so far. I'll need to pick up the box set sooner or later.

I'm not really a big anime freak, but I do quite like it. I'm going to try and expand my collection a bit. 8)

Akira, Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust and Hellsing are a must imo.

I'd also recommend Spirited Away and Howl's Moving Castle, but they are weirder than most other animes i've seen.

ROFL Berserk has amazing animation ESPECIALLY THOSE EFFING SKELETONS! I think the only bad thing I have to say about it is that I couldn't stand reading any more than the first book because there was no plot, but when you hit past the third episode I get so effing happy that there IS a plot. Oh, and bloodshed. And homosexuallity. ROFL that dudes hair NEVER gets messed up.

Oh, I think I've seen Spirited Away as well. That was quite weird, but I really liked it. :D

And my brother has the first Hellsing manga, so I read that and I loved it for its over-the-top violence. I haven't seen the others, so I'll check those out as well. :)

Berserk is a great series, lot's of blood and fighting and mysterious characters, and that sword never seizes to amaze me, wonder if it's a compensation of some kind. Anyway, Great Teacher Onizuka is also a favourite of mine, pretty funny and I just had a good time watching it, puts you in a good mood sort of.
There's a lot of prejudice towards anime, people watch some pokemon or stuff like that and give their judgement without ever knowing there's some serious quality stuff out there.

Vampire Hunter D is incredible to look at. Unfortunately it's chock full of all the lame ass cliches that anime is full of.

Have you ever seen the live action version of GTO? Its 13 episodes long and has a couple movie-ish specials, its really really good, one of the best shows I have ever seen.

I watched that last night, i wasn't an anime film though. Started shit and managed to slowly get better until it was ok, but to much of that floating on wires shit for me, and lots of ramdom excuses to shoot things. 5/10. If there's an anime version of i i would like to see it because the concept is good.

That movie sucked big imo. I don't know if there is an anime made.

There is an animated series to what that movie is based, but it's not anime. That one is okay, surrealistic science fiction. Visually very interesting.
