Well we all have our weaknesses, which can be really embarassing. I have something that I'm so afraid of and disturbed by it. And sadly it's a real embarassing issue as I'm a metalhead.

I can't stand gore.....

It's true, pretty funny uh? I only found out that I'm actually disturbed by it when I just started college, which was 2 years back. I'm ok with horror movies, neither Hellraiser nor Friday the 13th spooked me. But what i watched that day was an eye opener to my weakness. I watched this video of an American trooper being beheaded by the Iraqi rebel. They started chanting "Allah hu-akbar" while slicing his throat. The sound of his flesh ripping and vertebrae crushing made my tummy twitched. And suddenly i felt light headed. A few minues later I was back in my room talkin to my friend,still disturbed by the video, that, CRASH!!! I passed out.

Then early this year, me and my friend were having supper at a restaurant near our hostel. And we were talking something and suddenly the topic got related to some guy who was admitted to the hospital with a hoe stuck in his head. He was alive. And the accounts of the gory details were related by my friend. And being the imaginative person I am, I imagined how would it look like. Then I knew something was wrong. The same feeling I had before I passed out a year ago came back. I was dumb. I walked to the cashier and paid my bill. There was cold sweat. Then as I walked out the shop, I blacked out. Right in front of some dozens of people supper-ing. When i woke up, I was face down, on the tar road, and my lips hurt badly, and it was bleeding badly. My upper tooth hurt like mad. I thought I lost it. Then i made my way to the washroom and cleaned myself. AS i gargled to rinse my mouth, I realised water was spurting out from my lower lip, like from a hose pipe. Then i felt it, and i knew I was fucked. When I fell, my face smashed on to the tar road. Due to the impact, my upper tooth sank into my lower lip and hit the road. Thus explains the toothache and why it was chipped.

My pals were nice enough to get me to the hospital. This was 2.30 am. I got 6 stitches on the outside of my lip, and 4 on the inside. It was a 'through-and-through' wound, meaning, there was a fuckin hole that i could put my pinky through. And so for three weeks i went to class bearing an enormously swollen lip (my lips are actually thick by nature...). And explaining to my mates was hell. But i made it a point not to lie but just come clean. Who knows, somebody might just be unaware of my case and starts talking something. People laughed, yeah....I know most of you would. But it's better safe than sorry.

i've got a friend with the exact same problem! he fainted in class once, but fortunately he didn't hit his head anywhere.

i have a fear of getting caved in in a small place, like tight tunnels or ventilaton thingies. dunno why.

Talking of people fainting, in sixth form the whole year group went to a lecture with a slideshow about sexually transmitted diseases. There were all these warnings about how they were going to show us pictures of anal herpes etc, so we there might be some fainting.

Comically, one of my friends fainted before a single slide had been shown, just after the lecturer said "you know once we found a guy that had got a vibrator lodged way too far up his rectum". Unfortunately for him he received no sympathy or medical attention, only ridicule.

I was gonna write some stuff here but what the hell, I'm not in the mood for serious stuff, it's summer. Yipe!!!

That beheading video was pretty sick though, and Hellraiser I can assure you, it's ok to faint at seeing a guy getting his head cut off, it rarely gets sicker than that.

All those fucked up beheading videos do is make me viciously angry and wish for more American atrocities to be committed. Sick fucks.

Anyway, I just soiled myself. That's pretty embarassing.

I have agoraphobia, which is quite a problem for me.

in primary school there was this pretty girl in my class... same thing happened to her.. smashing her face down into the road causing her tooth to penetrate her upper lip.. a shame... :cry:


but quite impressive anyway... pretty ppl never hurt themselves!? :shock:

I had a fear of razors, but eventually that diminished and went away. Gore isn't so bad for me. I get a little squeamish, but that's all. Ever seen Land of the Dead? Reminded me of Cannibal Corpse. As for embarrasing I would have to say all the times I've ripped my pants at school. Once I was playing Ping Pong (Table Tennis. Yes, we have a table at my school), and I went for a dive and my pants tore down the ass line. I had to go into my Biology class and ask the teacher for a stapler. I left the class with the stapler and stapled my pants back together in the bathroom. Eventually they broke free and I came clean to everyone and let them see my embarrasing tear.

I was dancing on the border of agoraphobia when I had panic attacks. It is a pretty serious problem.

I'm not really embarassed by it, but since everyone else is sharing their phobias, I'm extraordinarily aichmophobic (fear of needles). When my film class saw Videodrome (excellent film, by the way) and the piercing play scene started, I covered my eyes, since I knew it would bother me. However, I could still hear the noises, so I started feeling weak in my legs and stomach and getting upset. I tried to get up to leave the room until it was over, but my knees were too weak to hold me, so I ended up curled in a sobbing, hyperventilating ball under the table until it was over.
