whats agarophobia by the way?

anyway, never realised metalheads had so many phobia's...from gore to needles to err....anal infections?

oh anyway, that wasnt the only day i had those uncomfortable feelings. the very next day on my way back from college in my car, there was this long traffic haul. and the policemwoman told there was an "aksiden maut"....fatal accident, up ahead. and my gore loving friend got excited and said "where's the body, where's the body, ya?!". i got fucked. the word "aksiden maut" coined an uncomfortable feeling in me....it meant, i'd be lookin at a dead corpse in a while (and god knows what condition it could be in, malaysian motor accidents are pretty nasty).

i swear as i drove closer (at slow speed due to the jam), my heart pounded fast and i thought i was gonna pass out again. then i sa the body. fortunately the cops covered 'it' with newspaper. there was blood but no...err...bodily remains. that was a relief. i started talkin to my friends in the car loudly until the uneasy feeling buggered off. if i were to pass out at the wheel, there would have been 4 more bodies that day, including myself.

by the way, the kid who died happened to be a down syndrome teenager. he was on his scooter when a car knocked him from the back, causing him to fall onto the opposite direction. he was run over by a timber truck. the guy who drove that car which knocked him, fled and hasnt been caught till today.

I'm not really embarassed by it, but since everyone else is sharing their phobias, I'm extraordinarily aichmophobic (fear of needles). When my film class saw Videodrome (excellent film, by the way) and the piercing play scene started, I covered my eyes, since I knew it would bother me. However, I could still hear the noises, so I started feeling weak in my legs and stomach and getting upset. I tried to get up to leave the room until it was over, but my knees were too weak to hold me, so I ended up curled in a sobbing, hyperventilating ball under the table until it was over.

You poor thing. I had someone do that in class once (different circumstances)...

Nothing too embarassing here, but if I go into the garden at night I get worried about treading on slugs. I also hate the dentists, and feel sick every checkup, despite having the best teeth in my family.

I am slightly Obsessive/Compulsive, going back to check I've locked doors etc even though I know I have.

And I had a self-harming period at one point. Nothing serious, just carving small holes in the back of my hand. You can barely see the scars. I am embarassed of that, actually...

And on the topic of confessions (might as well come clean), I worked in a kitchen at college, stole money, and blamed one of the cleaners (who was dying of cancer at the time) who got sacked as a result. Probably the worse thing I've ever done.

A few more stories like that, nothing too shocking.

Thinking, I'm not actually sure if it was because of that she got sacked. Yes, it was a 'she', talk about digging yourself into a hole...

I do feel bad about it now, anyway. It wasn't even that much money...

In my position, which was confirmed by a doctor as well, it's being scared of being at places you cannot receive medical attention or any help in general. I always thought I was gonna have a heart attack any minute because of my irregular heartbeats (they're still here) so I didn't wanna go to crowded places and closed areas, places I cannot flee from in case I felt bad.

I don't think the army would take it as an excuse, because this is very easy to fake and you cannot get a record about it with tests and whatnot, so I don't think they'll accept it. But if this irreglar heartbeat thing doesn't pass I'll probably get a desk job at least.

Heart murmurs can be detected easily! Or is that a different thing? Either way, they're serious, dude. Get onto the local doctor about it, if you haven't already...

I've been to 2 doctors about it, one was slightly concerned and one said it wasn't serious, told me it was happening because I was stressed and anxious all the time. The tests were ok and it wasn't serious but I still feel it pounding in my chest every once in a while. The last doctor told me to forget about it and if I had something it would show on the tests. :?

No, mine isn't that serious. I juts had palpitations, which isn't a problem by itsself and just an annoying thing but they were too frequent and sort of extreme so we thought it might be some other problem with my heart.

I'd get it checked out properly, but then I get paranoid about that kind of thing.

I'm shocked that it's not enough to get you out of army service, though. What The Fuck?

Do you smoke much weed kath?

I ask because I had a friend who had the exact same problems as you , he had mild agarophobia. He didn't like going to crowed places or places that were to quiet, areas where he didn't feel safe. And he also had weird palpitations, but not just in his heart, anywhere in his body, you could sometimes see it happening. He had been like this for about half a year and then decided that he would was going to stop smoking weed (he was smoking it all the time). Pretty soon after his agarophobia had gone completey and his palpitations were becoming much less ferquent.

I just thought i would share this with you as its pretty strange that both of you have the same problems.
