how is fruity loops anything like a drum-kit Kenny ? now you're just being silly

If he's wanting to genuinely learn to play the drums, then a kit is the way to go, of course. But if he just wants to make beats and loops and electronic noises like the music he's listening to now then Fruity Loops is the better choice, or something similar.

have you ever had the impression that Misha was stupid ? if he just wanted to make beats, loops & electronic noises would he have bought a drum kit ?

please, Kenny, try to think before you write...

Your words belie your smiley, old man.

Ewwww electric drum kit. I had to play on one of those once and it was awful. It doesn't register accents of volume of hitting or anything. Ugh. But if you're gonna start learning to play I can see it's advantage. Just don't try playing a show with it.

they now make dynamic pads... I have friends who do show with (top notch) electronic drum kits and they seem fairly happy with it... granted nothing replace a good ole acoustic one but it's not as bad as you pretend it is. or maybe the one you tried was particulary bad...

this is what I call a killer drum-kit btw...

it's missing a few cymbals but, anyway, Ludwig rules !

anyway, you made a fool of yourself twice in this thread, so please, stop "doing your zad" and spamming every thread just for the sake of it... you look like a dog pissing on every tree to leave his mark...

You are such a worthless addition to this forum. It's a game to you. Your music knowledge is supplied by Google and your constant antagonizing is tiresome. You should be thankful I'm not an administrator here.

THAT is making a fool of myself? Hardly. So once again, here's Stefan with his can of gas, lighting fires and pointing fingers. You're a worthless turd.

My apologies, Misha, for genuinely trying to have a conversation with you, but only giving this asshole Stefan a chance to cause another flame war and pretend like he's not.

There are a few people here that I clash with, that is no secret. Stef, of course, is one of them. The problem is that if I'm not directly conversing with him he feels left out, or something, or wants to egg the other person on, thus he makes these asinine replies. It's no secret that this is how he operates. It's childish and he knows it...and likes it.

Ken goes a bit too far with that, but have to agree Stefan was asking for it...

To answer your question, Ken, an electronic drumset is basically a simulated drumset. You pound it like a drumset but it registers the noise electronically. So he would be learning to play the drums, not making beats, loops, and electronic noises.

Oh, I understand completely. I had an electronic kit in the past, they're pretty badass, but I can now do the same thing with programs so it's more practical for me.
