"Phoenix Rising" is fantastic but "Cold Steel for an Iron Age" is even better... check that one out also.

what?

and on Deströyer 666, they are a nice blend of death and black, but they good too many bad songs on their albums to my taste. Some outstanding indeed, but I rather see a more steady level of songwriting, like in most of the good "real" bm bands...

I disagree in that I feel the song writing is very good throughout the entire CD, thus the high score. It probably appeals to me more because I like DM and TM as much as BM, where as you mostly listen to BM.

i dig loads of dm, i don't have this album but two other ones. on cold steel for example, i felt the fairness of the songs downpressed by one song that sort of kills the other songs: savage pitch.

I agree that Cold Steel isn't as strong. This CD has a much different feel to it and is more consistent.
