Hmmm. My first impression of this was a little lower. Then again, it was a first impression.

I was going to buy this album regardless of any reviews, but who knows; after reading this review it might be in my top five of the year.

I heard a rumor that Gamma Ray will be touring the US.

There's only four songs on this album that are ok, the rest are filler crap. 95 is waaayyy to high of a score. I'd give this a 72. There's just not enough good material on this to even warrant a score in the 80's

Looking forward to this one. For me the first material was very inconsistent. I didn't really get on board until Power Plant and I think No World Order is there best.

Is this one out yet? I've been looking for it in stores, but can't find it. I thought it was released already. I look forward to it either way.

I have this and the box set, and I have to say I will be listening to this more than the previous albums. It is more "listenable" and "catchy" when it comes to the choruses

I find this a bit overrated. The whole album is too cliche and half of the songs are boring for PM songs, not enough variation.I won't give it score just yet since it may grow on me.Only time will tell if this is a worthy addition to the Gamma Ray legacy.

I had very high expactations on this one, and unfortunately I am very let down by this release. I think Gamma Ray definately should get a new lead singer. Kai did a great job on Land of the Free, and since that his voice has become weaker and weaker. This should be POWERmetal and I think Kai hasn't got more power in his voice than the vocalist of a mediocre powermetal band. I find the songs quite boring and uninspired. There is absolutely nothing new to discover. There are some really cool twinguitar harmonies and solos, but then again the vocals are a big let down. This album could be soo much better if they could get a decent singer, Michael Kiske would fit Gamma Ray perfectly!

This album is though WAY better than the average powermetal release, but compared to Gamma Ray standards, this album is very poor. However, just wait until the new Helloween Keepers3 album! It is the MUST-BUY album, maybe even the best powermetal release of this centuary :)

I think Kai only has improved with the years. Listen to "Heart of the Unicorn" for example, I can't find any place on Land on the Free that can match that performance. I also think Gamma Ray's later music fits his voice better than Land of the Free did.

As for Majestic, ive only listened to it once, but i am unimpressed aswell. The songs seem uninspired.

I'm going to up my rating to 90/100. It grew on me, and it is now in my top 10 of the year.

I think I saw this today for cheap, but I'm really nervous about blind-buying Power metal, for some reason. Worth it, then...?

The only GR song I've heard is Heaven Or Hell from some fan MySpace site. Pretty good...

Edit: Playing "Solid" now on Pandora, I think I will get this after all. Pretty good.

I think it's a great album, but Kai's voice is weird sometimes.

Definitely Zad!! I still listen to this album regularly. I'll stand by my previous rating of 90/100 and I'll also say that this album is right up there with "Somewhere Out in Space" and "Powerplant." It also has some pretty dark lyrics so you might enjoy it. One of the best bands in the genre led by the best front man in the genre. Kai is the man, and his vocals rule!

"Short As Hell" is still one of their best songs. Get that album, too.

Yeah, this album is great, its now my numba 2 Gamma disk biotch. Standout tracks for me include: My Temple, Strange World, Blood Religion, Spiritual Dictator, and Hell Is Thy Home.. The rest are great too.. Fight is the only track that I see as filler, but even that song is pretty decent despite its crap/generic power metal name.

Originally it was one of my favs, but all it has going for it is its catchiness (which isnt really a bad thing, I like catchy songs) but I've grown so used to it, it just doesnt come off as catchy anymore.. I dont really know how to explain it that well. Bah! Screw you.. damn riverfolk..

Their best song since Heart of The Unicorn.
