Hey that's fine by me more for us to listen and enjoy besides the last thing I want is some damn punk mallcore slackers jumping on Nevermore's bandwagon and start spouting off saying shit like THE COOLEST METALCORE I HAVE EVER HEARD and THESE GUYS ROCK LIKE SLIPKNOT.

Oh geez parish the thought :o

LOL yeah exactly

I rather Nevermore be somewhat secluded to those who like the music then to have them in the mainstream parade on display for all who don't have a ear for music to see. I will suggest Nevermore to someone who might appreciate the music but I wouldn't suggest it to someone who would listen to them just because it's THE IN THING.

I just picked up This Godless Endeavor last week. This cd fucking kicks ass! The only other cd of theirs that I have is Dreaming Neon Black, which I was never really able to get into other then a few songs (Poison God Machine/Beyond Within), but this new cd I much prefer.

I love blasting The Final Product in my car, gives me a rush everytime! Scares the shit out of my Nickelback loving friends too. Oh! And the chorus in Born is hauntingly powerful. On of my top 5 cds of the year for sure.

Born is excellent. I finally got around to listening to the album, seeing as I saw them with Opeth on Wednesday I figured I should give it a few spins first, good album. I need to listen to it more.

Got this album just two weeks ago and was totally blown away. This is definitely better than the great-but-somewhat-bland Enemies Of Reality.

Nevermore's greatest strength is an absolutely killer sound. This album embraced that, while Enemies of Reality tended to distort it.

I thought it was totally unnecessary, to be honest. As for their latest, I just realized I don't fucking have it! How the hell did that happen? Did I never buy it because I once downloaded it or did someone steal it from me? :(

I have heard it was a lot better, but I'm not sure I'm willing to give them another chance with that material.

The remaster is awesome, indeed. I've always thought Nevermore is better with cleaner production; it adds to the mechanically sinister quality they have.

It went from sounding like disjointed crap that everyone including the band hated to actually being good o.O

I never really liked Enemies Of Reality, bad or good production. Except for a few songs like I, Voyager, Enemies Of Reality and my fav. Tomorrow Turned Into Yesterday i find the album to be lacking in quality. The song Noumenon is the worse they've written, i hate it.

OK, so a somewhat dirty production makes an album crap and a clean production makes it good? What happened to the music?

I like the original recording of Enemies Of Reality bettter. It's grittier and darker and sounds much more ominous... Moreso than Dreaming Neon Black, even. It sounded very unique and different from the rest of their catalogue.

The remaster butchered the music if anything.

I agree, but I don't mind the remix either. I found absolutely nothing wrong with Kelly Gray's mix.

The funny thing is, Kelly Gray is a very good producer and he's done some great work in the past, so how did he fuck up that bad this time? Well, obviously he probably didn't. He likely gave the band exactly what they asked for, but then when complaints were raised because it had a different kind of production value the band made a big stink about it, like they never liked it in the first place. Yeah, suuuuuuure. Saving face.

Kelly Grey was likely just a scapegoat for something the band asked for.

I think he/they was trying to go for the same sort of "weird" feel that Dreaming Neon Black had and instead just made the album sound bad . I'm just glad they remastered it since I can't stand the original.

Yes! That's exactly what I hear! Listening to a lot of their stuff, I just get images of a camera panning (or is it me flying?) past unbelievably huge, cold futuristic industrial structures. At night.
