Another solid release. I'd say this album is about as good as Evolution Purgatory, not as many top songs but a heavier feel makes up for that. The last minute on Judas Immortal is bloody magnificent!

Good Review. Great album by a great band! Easily in my top 10 of 2006.

I admit Jen's sounds a bit like Hansi but this is far exaggerated by the press. Jen's has his own style and has as strong of pipes as any metal singer today. Jen's has a better timber and is more understandable than Hansi too. Hansi is good but has some limitations, Jen's is far better IMO.

Great album. I really need to listen to it more though. I think some of the songs make take a little longer to get into for me.

I wouldn't rate this album that high, it's more like a 70 to me. After the first 3 totally killer songs it starts to get boring really fast. It picks back up with Judas Immortal only to finnish with the worst songs on the album. Jens singing is definitely a plus for the band and i think he is x10 better than Hansi.

When Eden Burns sounds like a metalcore band name.

I'll check this album out too, it seems pretty neato.

EDIT: ack, i dont like the sound of the vocals.

I don't think he's better than Hansi, but I do think right now Persuader are blowing away Blind Guardian to little pieces. Imo, When Eden Burns is the best power metal album of 2006 so far. By far.
