This thread is turning out to be as gay as Deicide.

Sorry, could not help it. They are ok by the way.

I just downloaded the Stench of Redemption, it wasn't terrible but there wasn't really anything that made it interesting either. Except maybe the fact that they had melody without using At The Gates riffs... it's kind of sad that that stands out to me though.

Sorry for liking music with variety =\

Variety or gimmicks? That's all you ever talk about... Gimmick bands. There's variety in death metal, and let's not forget that Deicide is one of the original flavors. Metal with substance, no need to "stand out" if the music has that. Sorry, I kid about thinking you're gay and shit, but at least you listened to the album. DLing is gay, BTW. Queer.

Yeah but you constantly go on about how any band that doesn't make at least one whiplash-inducing rhythm change per song is predictable and boring. So you prefer to listen to bands that do and sit waiting for the inevitable rhythm change to happen. Sounds pretty predictable and broing to me.

Well to me songs that end at the same place they started without going anywhere are boring. I'm a bassist so songs that don't change rhythms are just as boring as listening to the exact same guitar part or riff over and over again for 5 minutes.

Also two of my top 5ish songs, Reflection by Tool, and Miranda, That Ghost Just Isn't Holy Anymore by The Mars Volta don't have any rhythm changes =)

SO CUTTING EDGE!!! My intellect can't grasp a song that changes rhythms. Sometimes, I think I'm listening to my favorite Morbid Angel album, but then I realize it's just the buzz of the air conditioner.

??? I'm not saying that everyone should listen to music for the same reason that me, or that people who listen for other things are below me... just what I'm entertained by.

Discussions are based on matter of opinion, so for Satans sake, let everybody have their own. Noodles aint calling everyone gay as soon as they don't share his opinion so what's the problem here?

But noodles doesn't discuss. He tends to come into a thread, make a sort've offhand sarcastic comment about how lowbrow the band in question is (because they don't do the little tricks he likes) and then leave again.

And by the way, I don't think anyone was being serious when calling noodles gay.

Well, maybe Husker.

What's the point in discussing when you already know I own you ALL?

By the way, the only Deicide song I've ever heard was the one with the gay-ass video from the last album. However, the song was pretty ok, even though, seriously, having an inverted cross burnt into your forehead just to state how much you do NOT a religion is not krieg.

Especially when you got married in a church.

Really the new deicide is getting fucking better and better it's truly great my rating will probably rise by 5-10 points. It's not as good as the new anata or the new spawn of possession though.
