What does everyone think of the new Contender season (if you've watched it)? So far, the boxing looks much better and is more entertaining, maybe these welters just have more talent. Plus, that first episode was hilarious when Mike Clark thought he was hot shit and got dropped by the supposed worst boxer in the group.

Yeah, it's better than season 1. I'm glad those retarded challenges are gone!! Just like last season, it is what it is. I won't complain, if it's the best I can get, it's the best I can get, you know? Sugar Ray still can't act. Hahaha. And Ebo looks like Brian Peppers. I like Ebo, though. He's a good fighter.

The fights have definitely been better this go around. I love how K-9 referred to Alfonso Gomez as a "future legend." Hahahahahaha! I also like how another shittalker got sent home. =)

Ebo is fucking Chakka from Land of the Lost

Is that a literal statement?

Did anyone watch TNA wrestling last night? I don't know the name of the move, but the dude from LAX did it to AJ Styles. It looks like a few necks could literally be broken with that one. Some sort of kooky backwards piledriver.

His mane is Homicide, and the move is normally called the 187. TNA made him change it to the Gringo Driver.

That move was insane. It's a lot like the verdibreaker that Shane Helms(aka Hurricane from WWE)used when he was the cruiserweight champ in WCW.

i thought that move was called the Cop Killer, but yeah, it's awesome. Finlay does a similar one (though not as cool), called the Celtic Cross i think.

which channels are TNA and ECW on? my cousin has 60 (satellite), maybe one of them has them.

TNA is on Spike TV on Thursday's at 10:00 P.M. CT and ECW is on Scifi on Tuesday's at 9:00 P.M. CT.

I can't believe Roy Jones fought Saturday. I didn't even know until today. Goddamn. He was once my favorite fighter. :(

Too bad he is a self parody now. I wish he would fight Virgil Hill again now since they are both old and Hill would annihilate him this time around.

I saw Hill was going to fight a rematch with Maske? wtf? lol, anyways, big dollars in Germany. Hill is smart at 42, he fights and keeps winning. Shit 2 time Cruiserweight champ (I think he still has a belt too).

Bump!

Rahman showed what an overrated schlep he is, oh well.

Jeff Jarrett still has the title in TNA?! What the fuck? Get him out of there, he sucks!

Hogan tore his leg up and may not wrestle at SummerSlam. I think he comes out in a motorized wheelchair and still whoops Randy Orton's ass just because he's Hulk.

Ha ha I like Randy Orton, is he really related to Cowboy Bob Orton?

Yeah Rahman got knocked the fuck out. I watched the Ko on Youtube with Tyson commentating, funny shit. Every Heavyweight champ is now Russian and White, expect the world to end any day.

I like Rahman, always have. I never thought he was amazing, though. The fight was weird. He was winning the fight with his jab and right hands, he got sloppy mid-way through, but I still had him winning.

The 12th round just baffled me.

The shot that he got hit with that he stumbled into the ropes from was a solid shot, it was like a glancing blow off the right side of his chin that made him stumble and another that pushed him into the ropes and he went down. After, however, he looked drunk. Where did that come from? He'd gotten hit by some big shots in other rounds that didn't phase him, now a glancing blow in the 12th ruins his night? I don't get it. I don't want to call it a dive, but it just seemed out of place really. Oh well.

It's just another step in the wrong direction for boxing.

He got cracked, he was exhausted and like always he just doesn't have any heart. He was shit fighter before he Ko'd Lewis and he was a shit fighter after Lewis paid him back. This is guys with draws against Tua, Ruiz and Toney, and Ko losses to an old ass Holyfield and Maskeav twice..........

You know as well as I do from watching the sport a long time it just takes one shot and exhaustion and is just wrecks fighters, his legs were gone.......good night.

dammit! Kurt Angle ruled, it sucks that he had to go. but it's for the best, he's injured and he's already given us lots of excellent matches.

Kurt Angle :dio:

“The crowd was wild,” Angle says. “Early on in the match, I pulled my groin, but I kept going, feeding off the crowd. Then I pulled my abdominal muscle off the pelvic bone, but I kept going as the crowd grew more wild. Finally, I blew out my hamstring, but we finished the match. The crowd stood and applauded - a standing ovation and that meant so much to me.”

Sounds like a retard to me! I mean, this is fake, this is acting, what the hell is the guy ruining himself for?!?!

Angle is the shit. He'll be back. They don't call him "The Wrestling Machine" for nothing.

That's a major blow for ECW, though.

Angle is a bad ass, I agree.

So who wins guys, Toney or Peters next Satruday? I think Toney is done but he has enough of a chin and skills to win this, UD, he won't get knocked out therefor he will win. He looked like shit in with Rahman and should have got the loss but Rahman has some skills when he chooses to use them. Should be a good scrap. Give JT credit though, the fucker fights anyone....... Always have and always will, dude should have been born in the 50 or 40's, loved to see him again Tony Zale or a round robin with him, Zale, Hopkins and Robinson all at 160.

It's a tough call. Toney is slipping a bit, Guinn and Rahman did well against him when they chose to stay on the outside. If Peter stays on the outside there could be an upset, if he fights Toney on the inside Toney will win a UD, but get beat up in the process.

However, I have a feeling Toney may get KO'd.

I have a feeling you may be right about the KO, but my gut tells me Toney is just too savvy for Peter and will win in a boring UD.

it's fake but Angle's been plagued with injuries for ages now, just because it's fake doesn't mean it can't hurt.

He enjoys the sense of satisfaction a pleased crowd brings him. He wrestled in the olympics and won the gold medal with a broken neck for crying out loud. He loves wrestling, but you can't make a living doing amateur wrestling. He went to the WWe as a lark, basically, thinking he wouldn't last 6 months. He quickly became one of the most popular guys ever, and enjoys soaking in the admiration of the crowd. He is addicted to the adrenaline rush it gives him, as are most performers.
