Instant CLASSIC! If you've never heard this album, you have no right of posting!

lol. Listened to the whole CD last night, was quite the experience since I hadn't listened to it in three years.

Excellent music, excellent storyline, excellent singing.
I wish I could have seen the Operation Livecrime show, I recently watched the DVD and the album got even better! What a show!

Let's hope they don't fail and mess up the sequel, but I have a feeling they will.. Making a sequel to an album of this quality is pretty much destined for failure.

I credit Master of Puppets and Mindcrime as the two albums that turned me from a worthless worm to a metalhead.

Great album... timeless.
I saw a review in Kerrang magazine when the album came out ... ran straight out and bought it ... played it once then left it alone for 2-3 years... I was kinda into the hard stuff at the time and put the album in the "it sounds ok ... but its not for me" category ...
And time moved on...
And my hatred for the world subsided...
And I played it again... and again ... and again...
Good god ... its fantastic...
And my hatred for the world was restored ...

Whatever happened to the rumor that QR was actually going to do O:M2? Was it just a rumor or are they going to do it?

That is correct. My only hopes are that Tate & c:o actually has got some ideas for the album, and not just thought "hey, our last albums didn't sell as good as our earlier ones, let's do a follow-up do Mindcrime! it will sell!" :P

As for Mindcrime itself, absolutely one of the best albums I've ever heard. Got to listen to it for about nine months ago and since then it's almost never left my player :)

Unfortunately I think that's exactly what this is about

On top of that, the thought of them trying to resurrect it without DeGarmo is even worse

This is the album that made me realise that there was quality metal besides 'Maiden. Made me start looking at other bands but 16 years later and I still have not heard much that holds a candle to it.
