I'm the same way, I don't mind a song if it fits well within context of the rest of the songs, but generally full albums just bore me. There's something about Canvas Solaris, however, that simply overcomes that perceived missing ingredient (vocals). I think it's because they write
songs and not simply instrumentals.
Just listened to it, I kinda get what you mean now. But I dont agree with its awesomeness, it is good though dont get me wrong. My favorite track was easily "Accidents In Mutual Silence".
I dont really like giving final scores on just one listen but if I had to, I'd say 65/100 because it is really good, I can hear the talent here, but it just doesnt interest me too much.
Instrumental nerds would probably hate me for saying, but as I listened I had this nagging thought that it would all be better with vocals. Maybe a voice similar to Geddy Lee, Michael Sadler or John West or something, I dunno.
