it's also a (good) novel by John Steinbeck... familiar with it ?

Agreed. Excellent movie and book. There is another version of the movie from 1981 where Randy Quaid plays Lenny. He did a better job than Malcovich. It was a TV version, but very good.

Exactly. The MP3s are of much lower quality, but that's how it goes these days. Some assholes steals from a band and then spams the net with his "opinion." I'd like to shoot those people.

i agree, these 'metalheads' are everywhere nowadays

Back to the record, I would give it a 50. The song with Dio sounds good but this record has no feeling. The vocals are dissapointing, I hated the mixing and the guitars are awful. The only thing I outstanding is the bass. Maybe live it sounds better.

"The Chase" isn't all, if you ask me. Dio was pointless here. And Geoff's vocals sound great!!

I'm getting this just for the hell of it.I want to see for myself if this is worth it or not.

Well I never got around to make a comment about this so here goes:

It sucks!!!!

Why well because it lacks the passion and the emotion of the original OM.I do believe that the band was trying to go for more album sales so they decided to come up with a sequel to one of the greatest concept albums of all times. And boy did they fuck it up big time. Now I have lost all faith in Queensryche producing any quality stuff.

Well there is still their older catalog to enjoy.

I don't care what anyone says, great album, and even if it weren't, it's still OPERATION MINDCRIME II and should be bought at all costs! Even if you don't like the music. But I do like the music. And Dio works great along with Geoff.

Why should people buy it if it's not good? It is good, but if it weren't I would never say someone should buy it. Haha. Weirdo.

you should buy it because the bands name is Queesnrÿche and because the album title is Operation: Mindcrime II. That should be reason enough....

Figures you would say this Mr Metalreviews Ultimate Fanboy :P
