Go on, then.

Yeah, that and "Zodiac" turned up as bonus tracks. "C:enter: # # #" hasn't appeared anywhere yet. "The Long Pig" is OK, but comes of almost like an impromptu jam demo, you know? Definitely not very refined, but cool, I guess.

It is. I like the tracks I've heard, will definately be looking for 'City'.

That's it. It took me awhile to figure out what "C:enter:###" meant.

Strictly speaking, it means see colon, enter colon, hash hash hash. This is a pound = £. But who cares about silly things like that?

In fact it doesn't considering it's essentially written in a different language if you want to look at it that way. Go smoke a "fag."

Well, that's slang, which is something completely different. Says something about our respective cultures, though, that when I say it, it means have a cigarette, and when you say it, it means kill a homosexual.

Customer: I'll have a pack of fags, mate.
Randall: You're a fag, and I'm not your mate.*bumrushes him*
Dante: Yeah, it wasn't until years later that we found out what fag really meant.
Randall: You're a fag.
Dante: No, a fag means a cigarette.
Randall: You're a cigarette.

Some songs are weird for SYL, nothing is weird for Devy! Hahaha. "Far Beyond Metal" is really cool live, the No Sleep Til Bedtime version being very cool. Seeing it live, though, is hit or miss because Devin usually invites a fan on stage to sing the song and more often than not that dude sucks. Hahaha. Especially on the actual singing part! Holy shit I've heard some way out of key dudes trying to hit those notes. But it's always a really fun tune live.

Yep. Hahaha. That's from the DVD. It's part of the show so it's cool, but they usually suck. Hahaha. And since there was never any real lyrics Devin often fucked them up. The song's verses were always improv, but sometimes the shit Devin said would be hilarious!

"Ladies and gentlemen, Drew shit the bed!"

wow this album really doesn't stand the test of time very well. i tried listening to it today and actually got bored and couldn't finish once it got to "Hope". I really hope devin puts more time into his next albums, i'd rather a great album every 2 years than two mediocre ones every year.

You're out of your emo mind! Synchestra and The New Black are both outstanding pieces of work!

Even though I prefer SYL to Devin's solo work anyday, I'm really liking this album so far. I've only listened through a couple times though.

Still, I must say that Wrong Side is easily one of my favorite SYL tracks. Totally fantastic. And I still say it's cool to have Far Beyond Metal on an album.

I don't like the "Kill, kill" part of "Wrong Side," but either way the song rules (just a little less than it should in my book). And yes, "Far Beyond Metal" is great to have in a studio version! Amazing that so many have demanded it for years, but complained the second he did it.

And the horn section of "Antiproduct!" Come on, that just rules!

Where Alien has that period between Love? and Zen where I find the songs unmemorable (We Ride is ok but nothing special, and Two Weeks is only memorable for being totally out of place), this album has none of it.

Possesions is the second best song on Alien, the first being Skeksis. That fits between the 'unmemorable' songs you mention. By the way folks I write this on Christamas day, drinking like a fuel tankard...

Bingo el establishment! Cassandro

This album has too much wanky mcwankerson solos on it. Not too mention a few songs, i.e., Hope, Antiproduct and Monument, just aren't really interesting in the slightest. The rest is decent quality though.

I thought Monument was a great song.
