Good review, I liked this style! Maybe a tiny little bit more musical explaination wouldn't have hurt, but it's good anyways. I don't understand "Epic Instrumental Rock" though, these are more or less the people that defined Post-Rock, why not call it what everyone knows it is?

great album

a little weird review, imo... doesn't say anything about the music as such, unless your brain capacity is far beyond normal, like Misha

Thanks Misha! I noticed you reviewed a constellation band the week before, good stuff.

For those interested there are some really good videos of Godspeed up at www.youtube.com. Check out the ones numbered 1-5.

peace

worst review ever. if you've never heard the band before this doesn't help anyone. i've heard them and and can guarantee that this album is phenomenal, but if I didn't, this review wouldn't do me any good.

take this as constructive criticism - that's not a review.

Uhhhhhh.....

Nice poetry, but is it worth buying or not?

How does it compare to their previous album?

Wait, let's consult rateyourmusic.com:

You don't like this style anymore?
Damn, as the average metalhead I'm getting a bit confused here.
Don't you see what you're doing to us?

if the review doesn't make any sense, then the 95/100 score probably helps in a certain way...

This style of reviewing, as in "i liked reading the review", but I admit not listening to as much post-rock as I used to.

I still think the review needs some relation to the music as well though, but the idea is good.

Alone and unaware, the landscape was transformed in front of our eyes. Buildings began to stretch wide across the sky, and the air filled with a reddish glow. The soundless dawn came alive as cities began to mark the horizon. Mechanical sounds cascaded through the city walls and everyone reveled in their ignorance. A brief moment of clarity broke through the deafening hum, but it was too late. Our happiest days slowly began to turn into dust. The sixth extinction crept up slowly, like the sunlight through the shutters, as we looked back in regret.

Post Rock, thank yew very much.

This is the only GY!BE album I don't have (well, besides all the Kanada or whatever), so I'll need this. If this gets a review, I demand one for lift yr. skinny fists like antennas to heaven, and I want it to be 100/100.

ANY LESS IS UNACCEPTABLE
