Dude i love all types of metal, old, new, from black metal to flower metal..to doom metal. What I don't like is these FAKE artsy trendcore kids who listen to about 5% metal and the rest is shitty crap that sounds horrible.

Let me break it down for you, I actually like a lot of metal, noodles does not.

I've been here since the day the board opened, Noodles has not, and still has over 2000 posts, probably 1800 of them consist of him saying he DOESNT like a band or something totally unrelated to metal.

I'll be honest, I don't put a lot of thought into most of my posts like some of you do. Maybe I should, but I'm not exactly the greatest at describing music. Anyways, the point is, I'm here to learn about new bands, and maybe help people get into other bands. Noodles has maybe made 100 posts about REAL metal bands, and by real METAL i mean bands that you know, play metal NOT hardcore/post-rock. I'm all for listening to what you like to listen to, I like a lot of the 80's hardcore stuff and even some newer stuff, as well as some of the post-rock stuff. BUT THIS IS A METAL FORUM NOT A POST ROCK/hardcore/artsytechcore FORUM.

It's sad that this forum isn't about metal anymore. It's more about e-fights and stupid shit.

I know someone will probably tell me I'm part of the problem or something, which is probably true. Or god forbid misha call me "close minded".

there's some GOOD REAL METAL for you noodles, but I bet they're not technical, spazzy, or have odd enough time sigs for you noodles. Or better yet, I bet they're predictable!

okay i'm sorry but Ashes of the Wake kicks the crap out of all the lamb of god albums, although As the Palaces Burn and Sacrament are stellar, Ashes of the Wake is hands down my favorite album.

I liked Redneck, I'll be checking this out.

Is it just me or does Redneck seem to have a different atmosphere than the rest of the album? Obviously, I'm not asking you Zad, since you haven't heard the whole thing yet. But since that song came up, it just has a different feel than all the other songs, imo.

I agree that there's too much negativity here. Too much time is spent trashing bands than talking positively about music you like. I mentioned before that you can still be positive when speaking negatively about something. I don't think noodles is as bad as some people, however. Nor do I think he's as negative as some people think, it's just that a lot of what he discusses a lot of us ignore because it's outside of the realm of what we like.

I don't think noodles is the example of what is wrong with the board's recent negative leaning, but I can see why people would take shots at him because he's a bit blunt with his comments. But he at least generally knows the music he's trashing, unlike some people who just trash it based on precept. Noodles ain't the problem, though.

And I wish you'd talk more about metal. I see you as being just as negative as noodles. It's all perception, though, right?

Be proud of your brother, he probably used all of his brain capacity to write that post. Usually he just keeps it to "ur all gay" or "this band is gay". I think it's also some of the most hypocritical bullshit ever posted here. I hope you choke on eating your brother one day.
