Odd name, huh? I meant to order this CD months ago, but just did tonight. This is the post-
One Minute Silence project from their vocalist Brian "Yap" Barry.
One Minute Silence were one of my favorite bands, their first album was good, but
Buy Now...Saved Later and
One Lie Fits All were awesome! Then the fuckers broke up.
So Yap, always the poet, started
Pink Punk. I'm assuming the name has a meaning beyond the literal, what that is I don't know. Basically this is spoken word pieces set to music, or rhythms. There is some singing, but not much, and even then it doesn't really come off like a song the whole time. I didn't think I would like this at first, but as soon as I heard the sample I thought it was pretty sweet. Definitely different, maybe not for everyone, but those of you who are into things a little different give this a shot. You may dig it. It's worth checking out either way.
