What is rootbeer?
Sorta like ginger ale, but different.
You're joking, right? Yeah, ginger ale is like root beer in that is tastes like NOTHING EVEN REMOTELY CLOSE TO ROOT BEER!!

I was thinking that exact thing...but I think he was referring to the "ale" and "beer" part.
But yeah, root beer is not really like beer in any way...it's a soda, as someone else said. I didn't know there was anywhere that didn't have root beer.
It's a shame too. It's great stuff.
It's weird how things are in other countries. I mean, in the UK, Fanta is a flavor, not a brand like it is here. I remember when I was in the UK a waitress and I had a conversation that went a bit like this
Ken: What kind of soda do you have?
Waitress: [bunch of sodas] and Fanta
Ken: Oooh, what flavors do you have?
Waitress: *sighs* [bunch of sodas] and Fanta
Ken: Huh? No, what kind of Fanta do you have? Do you have grape?
Waitress: Wot?
Ken: What flavors of Fanta do you have?
Waitress: Uh, one.
Ken: Which one?
Waitress: Uh, Fanta.
Ken: What?
Waitress: Huh?
Ken: I'll take a coke.
I was so confused. Hahaha. Fanta in the UK sucks, by the way. That was like the time in Arkansas when I told the waitress I'd like a Coke and she asked, "Which kind?" Hahaha. I was like, "Uh...Classic?" Haha! "Coke" in Arkansas (and down south) is what they call soda. Coca-Cola is what most normal people call Coke.
