..living here. I am sick of turning on the television(which I rarely do anyway) and hearing "Two died tragically today in a heroic attempt to secure American freedom" or any other story, which are all very partisanly conservative. I am talking of course about the South, and America.
I am sick of being expected to be a Christian, and to live up to some fucking moral standard. I am sick being told to shut up, work in a factory my whole life, be complacent, and pay my taxes like "a good citizen".

I have also grown tired of this redneck cliche. I am not a hick, I am not inbred, and am not an idiot due to where I live. But, for some reason, there are some around me that make an attempt to prove these right! It makes me sick. Few understand that there is quite a difference between being Southern and being a hick.
But that is as far as I will go with that.

I also hate the current state of this country. It is run by liars, bastards, and infidels. It is a pool of ignorance, complacence, blindness, and lies. Everyday the shit gets thicker, and soon we will need wings to reach above it.

I hope any of you know truly what I mean by these things. They are all rather vague when compared to my complete thoughts. Discuss.

but yeah I can't really relate to your feelings but I can understand, I'm glad I live in a - not a small town, b - in Canada, since we have a much less embarassing government (lolz we force elections over less than 5 million dollars that got stolen). I kind of feel bad for a lot of christian people I hang meet because they all seem kind of embarassed about their religion.

There are idiots everywhere. The whole world is basically the same unless you are in a third world shithole and even there people do the same shit, get up, go to work, fight traffic, bitch about their job, get fucked up on Friday. I like China, Taiwan, Singapore probably best in the world but I am always American so I don't know if I could stay forever in those places. I thought about it seriously over the last few years but I always need to go back to the US sometimes. Although it is weird for me because I spend like this year 6 out of 8 months in Asia and the culture shock is extreme. The biggest problem I have with my own people is they just don't know how to shut up. I mean over here, you get on plane, bus, waiting in the airport, people are quiet, they mind their own business etc. US people are always fucking talking or try to talk to you or whatever. It is really jarring until I get used to it.

As for our politics, etc. Yeah well life goes that way. It is that way everywhere. The best thing to do if you aren't happy is make a change. Go to school, get a good degree, join the Military (maybe not now ha) get a job where you can travel.

Get a job in the big city where no one cares if you're Christian or not and you can get lost in a general grey sea of apathy. That's my plan (I've got the job part down). Except no one cares about religion in my neck of the woods, thankfully.

i know what you mean about the news there. ON BBC news 24 they have about an hour section for NBC 'world news' to see the american perspective event. LAMO, news???? WTF? Thats worse then ITV buy sooo far. I've never seen so much loaded language in a supposedly unbiased news broadcast. People aren't 'terrorists' they're 'evil terrorists'. Apparently you guys need reminding!! terrorist = bad !!! Its so patronising. JUST GIVE PEOPLE THE INFORMATION AND LET THEM MAKE UP THEIR OWN MINDS!! [/rant over]

Thats an almost word for word quote from a few days ago. Pictures of starving children are shocking? WTF? What had i been thinking up until that point?

Tonight With Trevor McDonald I really hate that program, Its just a load of bollcoks! I really don't give a shit if the disabled access ramp in Croyden Tesco is 2 inches off the floor so Miss Brown can't use it. Why would i care????? Why would i give a shit???? The basic problem with the world is that the voice of stupidity is usually louder than the voice of reason. Don't get involved with people, situations or beliefs that are only fit for ignoring. Not ignoring them gives them value.

And also if you try too hard to avoid something, you turn into the exact same thing you're trying to avoid.

Don't know if any of the above really makes much sence, but the bottom line is whenever you feel the world around you has gone crazy, fuck it! It's always been that way! Breathe deep the dark! Life is too damn funny to be all serious.

I am sure the BBC does that one purpose to give you a slanted view. Come on, the BBC is hardly the end all be all to news broadcasting. I watch it out here in Asia all the time. One of these days places like the UK and Canada will stop being our 52 and 53 states and go your own way then you all will be happier.
