Ever see a video on YouTube that you wanted to save for later? Well, now you can. As a bonus, the program will encode it in iPod-compatible format.

PS: It's free

I also use Riva Flv Encoder. it will convert avi/mpg/flv to any of those. just change the extension for the saved files, and it will save it in that format.

hey hey, what is this? the downloaded video can only be opened on itunes! i mean, the program's called "itube" but i thought it converted to a "normal" format too.

i don't have a video ipod and can't be arsed to watch videos on itunes, but the resulting file won't open on media player classic or windows media player.

is there any program that makes the files compatible with those programs (especially media player classic)??

Didn't work... I was all excited but it just gives an error message every time. Dissapointing

If your using Firefox, search for the Greasemonkey plug in, and then for the youtube or google video script, install those and every time you open a youtube or google video page, it will be a "save as" at the top of the screen for downloading the videos, the downloaded videos have no extention but worry not, search and download the videolan player as this player will run every video you have no matter the format extension or codec of the video, even if youre not interested in the youtube videos you should download videolan as its the best videoplayer ever, oh and all the programs, plug ins and scripts i mentioned are freeware and contains no spyware.

Talking about spyware and virus, what antivirus are you curretnly using? im using Kapersky, and i have to say its the best antivirus i have ever tried.
