Is my favorite band. It's hard to make a statement like that considering all of the great bands out there and over the course of time that I have been listening to music, but Led Zeppelin has always been my favorite band, and I'm only 17!

Whenever I listen to their first album I become mighty impressed with the quality and songwriting. This must be one of the very best debut albums of all times!

Definently. I'd go as far as to say this is one of the best live albums ever released. Or, at least one of the best I've heard.

Yes no band has ever matched the same Rockin decibel level as Led Zeppelin. Motorhead and Raven have tried, and done it justice. But you must pay tribute to the true masters of Rock. Sabbath unfortunately cannot be counted amongst them as Sabbath did not know when to bow out gracefully. That and Ozzy Osbourne has completely soiled their name and legacy.

led zep isn't metal in todays senses, but alot of there songs and styles laid the ground work for alot of metal to come. So by inovateing there genre they kinda created metal. A combination of Zep and Sabbath is what you have in alot of metal that came after them.

Well I wouldnt call Zep a metal band. They're definately one of the heaviest rock bands ever. Definately one of the heaviest of their time. I think only Sabbath and Budgie where heavier than them at the time. But then again. Zeppelin is better than everyband that has ever come out.....in history. They are the undisputed kings of both the Rock and Metal genre seeing as how almost everything that is played now a days...be it rock or metal.....can be traced back to the holy god-fathers of heavy music. hell even the yardbirds where heavy with Jimmy Page. Just listen to the song "Goodbye Sweet Josephine" its like 1965 and the song is heavy as hell with a fuckin rippin solo.
