After months of applyingto companies and being rejected, I finally got a place in the city. It's a video production company. Something which I was looking for since the start. I met the boss yesterday and he seemed like a nice guy. Ran through some questions, and walla! I got the job. I start on the 4th of December this year. Can't really wait!

I still pity my friends though. They all have higher grades than me and are yet to land an internship. When I saw them getting rejected so many times, I thought my case would be worst. In the end, it wasn't. I still hope they get their places soon.

Talk about being FUCKING relieved!!!

Awesome! Where is this internship at?

And by the way, I wouldn't be too surprised about the fact that you were able to beat your friends to getting an internship despite a lower GPA. There are a LOT of factors taken into consideration when applying for one (such as previous experience related to the internship, other work experience, volunteer experience, writing skills, commitment to the internship indicated by your cover letter, etc).

Speaking of which, does anybody else find it a little odd that Relapse Records offers summer internships? I mean, unless you plan on working for a largely metal-based record label, I don't know if an internship with a small metal-related record company would really be much of a resume builder.

Wait, what?

Fuck. I worked that shitty county job all summer when I could have been doing something useful. Fuck you, Arlington County.

It's in Petaling Jaya, a few miles away from Kuala Lumpur (that's our capital, where the worlds tallest building is situated).

I'm really glad to land this job as I hope it would be a stepping stone for my future, and my career if I'm gonna continue in this field. PJ is a great place, but I'm fuckin annoyed with the traffic jams and living cost. It's darn expensive here. After the interview that day my uncle treated me and my mum to some banana leaf cuisine at an Indian curry house. Holy fuck, it was just the 3 of us and the bill came to 50 bucks!!!

congrats, hope to see you as a multimedia CEO in a few years, hehe.

Banana leaf - you mean those places with banana leaves instead of plates? i ate ate one of those when i went to malaysia, it was really good.

and i don't think the Petronas Towers are the tallest buildings any more, i think it's the Taipei 101 in, er, Taipei now.

Sweet deal. I'm currently interning at Florida International University and we're trying to fabricate the smallest possible Thermoelectric cooler. Your internship is much more metal. :dio:

Yup, no doubt about it, it's one of the best cuisines you can get here in Malaysia. People of all races enjoy banana leaf food. That's why it's expensive, I guess.

Yeah, I heard bout the Taipei Tower. Damn those morons. lol.
