Ben, this album definately deserves to be here and is probably their best! However, I wish your review was more in depth and longer. I also wished you would have mentioned some of the bonus tracks that appear on the expanded/remastered edition.

How come we're suddenly getting like a new classics review once a week? They used to stay there for months!

That said, killer album.

Is that a bad thing?

Ahem, anyway, this is probably the only Crue album that I actually like. A deserved classic.

Reviewing Classics are not as much of a priority as reviewing the promos we receive from the Record companies that need to get done in a timely fashion. That is not to say they aren't important to the site. Whenever a team member has the time to write a Classic review, then we post it.

We need more classics... and this is a good one.
Not my fav Motley (my fav is Too fast) but a classic indeed.
I need to listen Motley right now... things that happen with good reviews.

A great album (though I prefer Too Fast For Love and a good review. I'm also happy about this "one classic a week thing."

10 Seconds to Love!

Mick Mars was at his best on this album. This album, along with Def Leppard's Pyromania, defined the sound of Mainstream Rock in the 80's. A mandatory release for Hard Rock fans. It's too bad the band never even came close to matching this effort.

I think this is a pure "metal" album and deserves to be. Too fast as well

I like this release, but I have always hated the title track. It always sounded too corny..."Shout at the devil!" Yeah, yeah, whatever...
"Too Young to Fall in Love" was one of the best catchy 80s metal tunes.

This one and their first release were definitely their best, though. After this, pop, pop, and more pop, then trendy and boring. At least the pop era was fun!

I'm a pretty big fan of Theatre Of Pain. "Louder Than Hell" is such a kick ass tune!

Uggh, what a horrid trip through the halls of a heroin crippled mind that album was. Louder than Hell is the only good song on the whole thing.

Ahhh... memories of my misspent youth.
Good shit. (Sorry Zad!)
Too Fast for Love, too.
Saw them in '82 and they kicked ass.

This is a great hard glam album... Probably Mötley Crüe's best.

When they played Download it was probably one of the best live performances I've ever seen. They must be kicking themselves for not proffesionally filming it.

I saw that tape from the Us festival. What an embarassment. There's no doubts as to why that hasn't seen the light of day.

+1

Great album. I saw them open for Ozzy on the "Bark At the Moon" tour. My brother was lucky enough to get us 2nd row floor seats. Motley Crue was incredible that night.

As a point of interest, I don't know how many people on this board remember the band Waysted (Pete Way) but they came on before Crue did during that tour. Waysted were promoting their "Vices" release. They were great that night as well.

Not a fan. Never really got into Hair metal, just feels so...cheesy. I do think theirs a layer of talent there but I'm just not truely feeling it as a solid album.
