I go through my phases. I live with two other guys so there are plenty of nights during the week that we end up hanging out on the couch and laughing our asses off or just listening to music (I am in control of the player of course). But the truth is drinking is more fun. The crazy nights all involve drinking. Drinking is for going out and smoking is for staying in.

I generally dont vomit though. You develop a strong drinkers stomache when you are weened on straight up scotch ond tequila. (Johnny Black and Petron Silver) In my circle of friends if you vomit you are henceforth named VOMITOR until the next person vomits.

i drink a lot when i go to class dinners (so that would be about once a month, sometimes twice), and sometime ssmoke on those (cigarettes, cigarillos, and sometimes stuff my friends get), but i do it knowing that it'll be quite a while before i do it again.

i never smoke or drink when i'm the only one.

I smoke weed all of the time. My mind is a little hectic, and it calms me down. I drink on the weekends, but drinking on work nights is not something I like doing. I tend to stay away from Liquor though, I lose my head with that stuff. Beer is good enough.

I do it when I can but I am old and it is a pain to find it these days. I like it when I am real mellow or want to have some trippy sex and stuff like that. I used to do it a lot more especailly when I first got out of the navy until a few years ago.

Drinking is a bad idea for me; alcoholism runs rampant in my family, and I have an epically low tolerance. Three years ago, I went to the seder at my school's religious center, wherein we were given four Dixie cups of wine. I've drunk Passover wine since I was seven, but always out of this little silver cup that's been in my family for generations. It's about three-quarters the size of a Dixie cup, so at school I essentially had five cups of wine (for reference, Manischewitz is only slightly more potent than cooking wine). When I stood up at the end of the seder, the room didn't quite spin, but things definitely did not stay where they were supposed to. I lose at alcohol.

I like having a few beers because I'm really shy and it makes me slightly less-shy (so like, people I don't know can say hi to me without me running into the nearest corner). I smoked weed once or twice a week because it makes music and sex really cool. Never touching cigarettes though because all of the smokers I know seem to dislike smoking, and spending 8 hours a day with my friend to help her quit was a scary and moving experience.

How can ppl actually drink beer? That shit tastes like pouring an ashtray down your throat. After like 3 i would vomit. Spirits are the ONLY thing i can drink. And even then its only scotch or rum (vodka is teh ghey fags)

I couldn't stand it, but its kind of like coffee where once you drink it 3-5 times it kind of gets an endearing flavour to it that isn't exactly enjoyable, but you still want it to be there. I don't actually think that made sense but oh well . I generally drink mango schnopps (sp?) mixed with vodka; tasty and gets you drunk fast!

People who don't like beer have the tastebuds of children.

Like many things, you just need to get used to it. You didn't just throw on the grimmest BM album in your collection and immediately think "yeah this rocks" did you? Building up tolerance is followed by enjoyment.

Heh, I remember when I first drank beer the hangover was so bad that I couldn't even smell beer without feeling sick. And this lasted for about a year. Now things are different ...

that reminds me of what my dad did to keep me from drinking. when i was 5 or 6 he let me have a beer.... and i only started drinking when i was 18

Hmm I was kind of the opposite, mine always used to ask me to get him abeer from the fridge and I'd always steal a gulp en route. This is from about age 9 onwards...Maybe I was just born an alcoholic.

BTW, for the record I smoke (cigarrettes and weed) and drink and am so far utterly unrepentant. The impending lung cancer, pscirossis or psychosis may change all that however, but until then....

meh. We all die anyways. You can just as easily be a complete health freak and still get hit by a truck.

That reminds me of what my parents did to keep me from drinking, When I was 5 or 6 they let me have a beer and I wanted another one. They tried wine too but I liked it. I was drunk for the first time at 7, at new years eve. None of the other kids liked the kid's champagne, so I drunk half a bottle. It turned out that it wasn't kid's champagne, it was just champagne with a really happy label.

actually there's a kid's champagne now, it's called Champomy, it's basically carbonated apple juice. if i had that shit when i was 5 or 6 i would've hated it even more than real champagne.

your parents should've tried aguardente or vodka or something.

I don't understand why anyone would smoke cigarettes...I mean, not only the health stuff but they're expensive and you don't really get anything out of smoking, besides smelling like shit.
