Saddam is to be executed! By hanging, which in iraq is still considered natural cause. I don't know how old this news is, but I found out now.

IMO they are making a huge mistake.

i really don't know what to think. If they hadn't given him a death sentence i expect people would have complained that it wasn't harsh enough. However I do fear that his death will cause terrorist repercussions.

but what else could he get? if he got the rest of his life in prison he'd spend that time spweing out more of his garbage.

what i really liked was the court, though. the way they tried sohard to look legitimate in every way, with long proceedings, witnesses, evidence and the whole "shebang" or something. then all they can get is a sentence for the death of 100 and something villagers.

oh and the verdict came out with most impeccable timing. surely the american midterms were just a coincidence.

He will be seen as a martyr, IMO he should have just been kept in prison to rot...

I think the bastard deserves to die (i would prefer a more painful method than hanging), but the whole court process has been a complete goddamn farce. But in the end, one less bastard in the world = me happy.

They should never have arrested him. Whichever soldier that found him should've killed him, avoiding the circus of a courtcase that it was.

I don't agree with the death penalty, and killing him could prove to be a mistake, but fuck it, if anyone in the world deserves to dance in the air its Saddam.

From what I've read Saddam wanted to be shot, a military execution, hanging is humiliating. The sentence can take years to be carried out though, depending if they deciede to complete the other trials against him before. I am very much against death penalty myself but I can´t see the people in Iraq settling for anything but it in this case.

In that case i will have revenge by myself..

Sadam was an idiot, no daubt about that. But was it worth it, when getting 3 times more killed than he ever killed to catch him?
