I highly recommend this band. Three of my reviews this week have been out of the scope of what most of you listen to, but this band is excellent.

Old stuff: good. New stuff: not bad, either. THIS is more like it! Not sure about vocalist, though...

Edit: having played more, this is pretty good. Thanks, Ken, for this at least.

Judging by the mp3s, there seems to be quite a quality gap between this album and their previous releases. The other songs didn't do much for me, bur Forget the Past was GREAT! A nice surprise, I really thought I would dislike this.

Quality as in good songs? Or sound? They seem to have chosen MP3s from the first two albums that show more of the sound on the new album. It doesn't represent those albums accurately, at least on the The Fate Of Angels songs, they chose the mellow tracks. That album is much more than that. The Tomorrow's In Doubt songs do show the death metal side of the band, so I guess that's on point.

They're really a good band, and if you read the ABOUT US section of their website you will see that luck hasn't always been on their side so they're relatively unknown.

Quality as in good songs. I found Forget the Past to be much better than the other mp3 songs. Death metal is probably my least favorite genre of metal so I think I'll prefer the more mellow side of this band :)

You know, that's really cool because I was worried people would scoff at the idea of the band doing something different. :D

For those interested, Rick put up "This Sinking Feeling" on the band's MySpace page. This is the song I referred to as country Carribbean. Haha. Give it a shot, it's a great tune, but a little out in left field compared to the rest of the album.

Excellent! I had wondered about these guys - I have Fate of Angels and really like it.

Will be picking this up...

Buy Tomorrow's In Doubt now. There are only a few copies left.

I guess they weren't lying when they said the next album will be heavy again.

THE VISIONARY

This is from their upcoming album! It's awesome! It's really cool that a band can take such a big departure and find their way back home so quickly. Most bands never quite get there when they do a big stylistic shift for an album or two.
