I had always been fat, ever since I was 5 years old. I managed to be skinny in 6th grade after swimming and eating less for a year, but it was short lived, and I broke my ankle a year later gaining 50 lbs. in 2 months. I would continue gaining weight for another 5 years and eventually reach 290 pounds, my heaviest. I'm 6'2".

As of 3 months and a half ago, continuing a weight gain trend, I looked at myself in pictures at the beach and with my girlfriend, and I came to the conclusion that I hated being fat, for my own and everybody else's sake. So, at that point I decided I would begin eating less and exercising everyday, making the effort to lose weight. I had tried before, but this time I was dedicated. I was so tired of being the fat kid, the guy who's ashamed of taking his shirt off at a pool party or playing sports because he gets tired too fast. And so I began dieting by eating cereal for breakfast, salad and tuna for lunch, and a snack for dinner, along with 3 hours of waterpolo training 6 days a week, resulting in a weight loss rate of 2 pounds a week.

Now, I've constantly lost weight every week for a total of 46 lbs and now weigh in at 244 lbs, my lightest since I was 12. In about two more months I should be skinny, and no longer have any annoying fat. I'll post before and after pictures when I'm confortable with myself. I still have a small gut, but it's nothing compared to before. I just thought I would share this story for those of you who don't think it's possible to change eating or exercising habits and actually lose weight.

Congrats, I know how hard it can be. Ive been that kid for a long long time. I hit 269 2 months ago and it pissed me off (because I really only eat 3 times a day, not overly healthy, but not really anything bad either) My problem is work, Subway is not healthy unless you eat veggie subs with fat free sauces and well, thats gross. I get home 12am-1am and of course Im hungry and its very bad to eat food at that time of night.

Anyways, my GF bought DDR a few months back and I started playing the workout mode on it and I lost 16 pounds in 1 month, I was quite the happy.

Hahaha. Dago has the best fucking pictures! :dio:

Tipo, I was in a car accident in 2001 and was laid up for 6 months; I gained 60lbs. I lost 20lbs. immediately once I was mobile again, but I've sat at 240lbs. ever since. I'm not what you'd call fat by any means, but it's fucking hard to motivate yourself to actually diet and excercise. Before the accident I ate whatever I wanted, exercised very little. Apparently my metabolism died in that accident. Haha.

Anyway, good to see you losing weight. I'm getting to the point where I'm becoming self-conscious of my weight. I was gonne shave my goatee the other day, but decided not to because I could tell if I'd have a slight overhang of a double-chin there. Ridiculous! I'm not even that fat, I got a slight gut only. Yet it's getting to me. So congrats, bro! It's an easy decision to make, but a tough one to actually commit to.

I've always been skinny as a ghost thanks to a ridiculously fast metabolism and loving/living with a veg(etari)an. I have no idea how much I weigh though since I haven't done that since I was around 11 and weighed 80 lbs.

I'm 5'7"-5'8" and weigh 175-180 lbs. Not really fat, but I would really like to drop a few pounds...I'm playing a sport this year in school so hopefully that'll help. I don't think I could go on a diet like that if I wanted to, though...

252lbs here, but I am 6'5" with very wide shoulders. Unfortunate thing with me is that all the fat I have on my body seems to sit on my torso. If it was distributed evenly I'd be completely fine but noooooooo! I could stand to lose a few lbs, I remember wistfully the days that I was 210 odd. Need to stop eating those legs of lamb just before bed....
