I don't know what to think.

Yeah, I saw that earlier today, dont know what to think either.

People are making this out to be more than it is. It's a fucking word. Is he a racist? Doubtful. But he knows what word would piss those guys off the most and he used it, and he referenced the past for that same purpose. Any males here ever call a girl a "cunt"? Come on! I have. Why? Because that word will send 99% percent of the female population into a tizzy that practically makes their head explode!!

It means nothing. It's meant for effect. Why isn't anyone mentioning the racist comments thrown back at him? Is that any different? What were those guys saying prior to his comments? Were they throwing out racial slurs? Ah, no one examines that, do they? Of course not, can't take a look at the opposite side of the coin too much, that would be racially biased or as the media calls it: racist.

He's a comedian. Ken is right.

Ok, he might not be racist and that could be excused as a part of his stand up act but that still does not make it funny. I don't understand many of those stand up comedians that instead of being funny they just try to be rude, vulgar and shocking. They are supposed to be stand-up comedians not stand-up insulters.

Ofcourse one might say that they use this to "enhance" the perception of the following jokes but that's just weak and lame in my opinion. It's like someone giving you a relatively warm cup of coffee (~30-40C) and then forcing you to go out into the freezing cold for half an hour so that you might think the coffee is burning hot when you come back in.

I agree with you, I think he wanted to piss those guys more than anything ... and he succeeded. But he pissed off a lot of hypocrites as well.

Lost his nerve because some black dude in the audience interrupted him and proceeded to verbally abuse said black dude, calling him a nigger and stuff. Hilarious.

Agree woth da ken, Kramer rules. The word Nigger has also been un-dramafied by the use that gangsta rappers make of it.

he may be a comedian, but i didn't find it funny. He acted like an amateur and went crazy like a weakling... a no matter what u might think, he started it because he lost his temper. He was not joking.

i have several black friends and they don't mind people using the word 'neger'(dutch equivalent of nigger). I really don't see the drama over this..

well, why don't u try to make random ppl call them "nigger", then .. we use the word "neger" as well, but it is not equivalant to "nigger", at all. And yes, i do know black ppl use the word "nigger" among themselves, it's the same as when i call my friends for idiots, but i would never call ppl i don't that, unless i wanted trouble ;)

Besides, the word "nigger" has a history with lot's of violence and discrimination. It doesn't mean "hey you, black guy", it means " hey you worthless lowlife, stay out of my way, you piece of shiat". Sure, the word may not have that meaning in europe, but it does to a black man in the USA.
