Just out of curiosity (and please forgive me if there probably is a similar thread somewhere), how much time do you spend listening to music? How many hours per day/week? And how much of that is spend on metal if not all ?

And I don't mean the kind of listening when you're in a shopping mall or your neighbor's radio playing loud. I mean when you actually choose to listen to something.

A whole lot.

If that translates to anything, probably 4-7 hours a day... maybe more, but I'll say it's around there.

I guessed 50+ since whenever I'm at home, going somewhere alone or at work I have music on. It might be less though, I don't really keep track... and I'm not always totally listening to it.

If I'm awake, music is a-playing. Seriously, I turn on the tunes when I wake; I crank it on the way to work; I crank it for 10 hours while I'm at work; I'm jammin' something on the way home; and I got that shit going when I get home unless I'm watching TV. Those are works days. The same usually applies on my off-days—unless I'm with friends.

Music is my wife.

Whenever I get the chance, which is a lot less than I'd like these days. Assuming I don't go straight out from work its usually from when I get home (between 17:30 and 20:00) to when I go to bed around midnight, plus the two hours commuting I need to do every day.

The weekend is usually very little on Saturday since I'm usually out of the house and on sunday probably around 9 hours.

I listen to music every chance I get, so I'd say around 5-6 hours a day of music.

Definately 7+ a day, I put it on when I wake up, and it stays on until I decide to play a game with voice acting or watch a movie. I blast it while walking to work, cant listen at work though. I get home, turn it back on and then when going to bed I make a list to fall asleep too. I just cant sleep without my music.

Oh no I'm lightweight. Only a couple of hours a day. Most of my time with music goes to playing the guitar, so I guess it's a compromise :) .

I used to listen to it 7+ hours a day when I worked at my home office and could play music all day. Now I work at a jobsite where they don't allow radios, mp3 players, etc. so I only get to listen about 1 to 2 hours when I get home at night.

I average about 7+. I just woke up and I have Mortuary (the band Voice posted) playing, I'll drive to work and have something else play, I'll be at work and be listening to my iPod through the radio, drive home with music, get home and clean up to music.

The only time I don't listen to music is either when I'm with Meish (with exceptions), watching TV, watching a movie, reading a book, or with some friends (with exceptions).

Not a lot these days. I used to blast metal out of my little Corolla when I would drive everywhere. But since my car has been given away (after it died and repairs were out of my league) to a guy who now races it, I don't really get to listen that often. But I do wack it on during my home renovations which have been going on a bit lately. Plus I've got the bassline down pat for Ozzy's No Bone Movies and Tristania's Angelore. :dio:

50+, which translates to every minute that I'm awake and not in class. In my car, in my room, in the radio office, while I'm working in the studio, on the bus, everywhere. I can't stand to be without it.
