Lots of new, cool albums are coming out in 2007:

new Twilightning
new Adagio
new Masterplan
Tristania - Illumination
Battlelore - Evernight
new Sirenia
Winterun - Time
probably a new Symphony X album
probably a new Kamelot album

I'm mostly looking forward to these:
Ensiferum - Victory Songs
Finntroll - Ur Jordens Djup
new Turisas
new Sonata Arctica
Korpiklaani - Tervaskanto

I know that nearly all of the following haven't been announced, but here are some of my hopes for 2007-

New Sonata Arctica
New Slayer (they're on a roll!)
New Shadows Fall
A Good Metallica Album (I suppose this should be in albums you'll never see, but you have to hope!)
New Dragonforce (I know IR is a 2006 album, but it was ages ago)
New Emperor
New Dillinger Escape Plan
New Fantomas

New Dark Tranquillity and Wintersun is enough to last the whole bloody year!

For me the new Iced Earth towers above all else. Of course there are other releases I'm looking forward to, but since they've been one of my favorite bands for such a long time, and I think this next album is a crucial one for them, I'm both thrilled and nervous about how this one will turn out. It will be interesting to see how the Something Wicked story turns out as well.

Besides that one, a few that I can come up with at the moment are the new Porcupine Tree, Blackfield and Megadeth albums.

Pretty much all of those + new Freedom Call, Dark Tranquillity. Also, Nightwish is writing a new album and if they find a new voclaist they will probably release it next year. Hibria and Timeless Miracle (!!) are also writing new albums and if they're released in 2007 then it's going to be one hell of a year! :dio:

Well appart from many important ones that you have already mentioned, I wouldn't mind (= I'd really love) seeing new albums from the following:

Lost Horizon (!!! It should not take them more than a few months after they find a new singer)
Ayreon (!!! Apparently Arjen has already started working on a new Ayreon album, hopefully it will be out in 2007!)
Manowar (The new album "Gods of War" should be out very soon and it sounds promising!)
Guns 'n' Roses (Their long awaited album should finally be out during the first months of 2007 if not earlier!)
Gamma Ray (Isn't "Land of the Free II" scheduled for 2007 ? I hope so!)
King Diamond (There's a new album coming out during the first half of 2007!)
Killswitch Engage (maybe ? They will be done touring by February)
Opeth (No idea about this but those guys should release something soon, no?)
Dream Theater (Is it too early to hope for a new album? I haven't heard anything yet but it has been almost 2 years since the last studio album)

I forgot about new Neurosis. I hope DeP release an album next year, but they have been known to take their sweet time with these things :lame:

I remember seeing a thread saying that they're working on a new album. I really can't wait either. :dio:

I hope there is a new Nile release. That would make my year. Most of the other stuff that I'm looking forward to has already been mentioned.
