Bump.

Because this album—this band—rules! I'm listening to this album right now; it's been a while. :dio:

Haven't listened to this one yet, but Arena is indeed a good band, and Contagion an awesome album. I liked how they kinda moved in a new direction with that one, while still retaining their greatness. I should probably check this album out too.. :)

I love this kind of music and Pepper's Ghost is an immensely enjoyable album. I just listened to it for the second time and I'm sure it will get a lot of play in the following months. For a progressive hard rock release this is easily in the 80-90 scale!

Have you heard Magellan? They're very similar, I think.

After some searching I managed to download some random songs from Magellan, mostly from their latest albums. They are very similar as you sugested, nice prog rock. To be honest I enjoyed Arena more but maybe Magellan's songs will grow on me. I also borrowed Arena's Contagion (2003) cd from the library and it's also killer.

Contagion is great. "Witch Hunt" has such a badass riff!

I would say that Spock's Beard is also similar, if not a bit "lighter." Enchant is another very similar band. Both are excellent.
