Okay I am saying this because I am sick of hearing shitty bands like HIM being called metal and all this other crap I'm seeing emo bands being called metal and the gods arn't even noticed. Goddam media with there popular crap, were to rough for the radio cause of our mind ripping guitar. This has been a long time coming but we need to do something about these emos. Like losing the chick bands so the nuts can breath, teaching them how to grow their hair not slant it like what the hell man. It's driving me nuts I say I like metal and a kid goes so you must like "My chemical romance, HIM, and all those other bands". No way! I like sepultura, slayer, kreator, sodom, iced earth, destruction, tankard, death, vader, bathory, venom and so many more. It's just not fair like one thing I will never forget was seeing the guitarist from green day on a GUITAR LEGENDS magazine. He's no legend, Dave Mustane is a Legend. Emo's faggie skater punks there all just a pussy version of us. Can you tell I've had a bad day? I needed this rant thanks guys, so let it all out let me hear what has been pissing you off with the metal scene we need to let the rage go and get it all out there.

LE-I admire your enthusiasm, but I'd say your thoughts are either implicitly understood by the forum denizens or they simply don't care about "emo" or they are "emo", as in the case of Noodles.

HIM- is a Dark Romantic Gothic Rock band with some actually well-written stuff in the vein of rockers and ballads. They have been good long before the mass media got a hold of them. I will not simply stop listening to them even if the little kiddies (emo) worship

Lacrimos profundere and Entwine would except with a few more slower "love" or should i say "depresses over love" type songs

Here is my thing with HIM;

The other day I had a guy come up to me at work wearing a HIM shirt. In order to strike up a conversation so he would stop staring at me with a blank gaze I said;
ME: "So you like HIM huh?"
HIM: "YES! I love them (HIM)"
ME: "So do you listen to much metal?"
HIM: "No"
ME: "Oh, what else do you like."
HIM: "Nothing. Just HIM"
ME: "You mean you don't listen to anything else?"
HIM: "No."
ME: "I mean they're Finnish aren't they? You don't like any other Finnish metal?"
HIM: "No. I've heard a lot of it, I just don't like it."

So at this point I just want to get rid of this fucker b/c, A - I can't stand people this stupid and close minded, B - Every effort I make to have a conversation with this fucker he gives me two syllable answers. Later on I found out he was the district managers son and I guess he liked the fact that I talked to him about HIM. So he had some good things to say to his mother (the district manager). So by talking to him about HIM I was able to impress HER.

Since neither band take themselves seriously and MCR's album made me laugh way harder and actually has song variety so I can get to the end of it, yeah its way better.

And Avenged Sevenfold, Protest the Hero, Coheed and Cambria, and to a lesser extent Receiving End of Sirens (a few parts of their album reminded me a lot of Kamelot ) all have the melodrama/over the top prog/power metal feeling to them
