I hate dubbing, really hate it. Nearly all Italian horror films are dubbed and it makes them look three times as amateurish as they actually are. Come on dudes, read faster!

Man that is so very true! I remember once I was watching a series and when I reached the final episode I had two options. Watch it overdubbed at youtube or the japanese version without subs. Believe me, I chose the jap version and enjoyed it more eventhough I can't understand japanese.

I agree with you for the most part, but both the Cowboy Bebop and Trigun dubs are, in fact, better than the Japanese version, in my opinion.

Most animes work better with their original language. As for Kung-Fu movies, overdubbing tends to bring in a sort of humor factor

In Finland almost everything is subtitled. I've sometimes watched TV programs from countries like Germany, if there's not enough good actors and money used on the overdub its generally shit.
Some animes have those funny moments when they use english and japanese in a mix to make something sound a bit cooler. Engine starttoo!!

I read the TV guide synopsis of the opener of 24 Season 5 and it dropped two fucking massive spoilers in the space of three lines of text. I'm never making that mistake again.
