Dude, don't even start it. I have yet to see a review of anything by them on the internet that doesn't end up with hundreds of responses where people are damning other people's entire family based on their opinions of this band. Pretty much anyone who has a radio knows what they sound like. I just tried to make this review as fair as I could.

Anyway, Slipknot hasn't impressed me much since the self-titled. They've had some great songs on subsequent albums, but overall they've disappointed me. They have the potential to be a monstrous (no pun intended) metal band, though. It's sad to see them too often squander their talents on crap.

And I would never classify these guys as nu-metal.

The Fuck? Do they release a DVD every year or what? Somehow, I don't think these guys are doing Pantera levels of funny shit. Why can't bands just wait until they have a significant volume of video footage and just release one Mega-DVD, instead of several average stand alone ones? Stuff like this makes it smell like cash-grabbing, even if that's not really the case.

These are label choices, no doubt. And the Pantera videos are three of the best VHS/DVDs ever released! Totally hilarious. Slipknot doesn't strike me as the type to have that much fun on tour.

Oh, and similar to your DVD comments, Atreyu—fucking Atreyu!—has a greatest hits CD coming out. :lol:

Speaking about Slipknot's DVDs, the Disasterpieces DVD is the best thing they ever done, IMO.

Well, I'm probably twice your age anyway, but the one who needs to grow up is the one who takes popularity as musical quality and won't attempt to engage in a real discussion on music. Popularity does not have anything to do with quality. In fact, it's often quite the opposite.

And no, Britney is a mediocre singer who only got a record deal because of her look. Again, we can actually talk music, since I took singing lessons for several years, but you won't do that. Instead, you'll insult everyone here who disagrees with you without bringing any real contribution to the discussion.
