America uses 50% percent of the whole worlds energy, and has the highest polluton rate by far. They also were the only non industrializted country who didn't sign some sort of agreement on anti pollution, can't remember the details.

The thing is Zad, we can choose to fuck up the world fast or slowly, and it's all up to us.

As far as advertising goes, the problems caused by junk food sellers are twofold:

1- Regardless of whether they deserve to be fat or not, the morbidly obese will nonetheless become a severe drain on our collective resources if they continue increasing their numbers at this rate. Therefore it's in all of our interests to keep people thinner if we want there to be any space left in cardiac wards in a couple of decades.

2- It's not the gullible adults who eat at MacDonald's every day because they see it on TV that I have sympathy for. It is the parents that want to keep their children healthy but have them screaming every day because happy meals are advertised 2-3 times during a kids tv show. Capitalism enslaves people when they are young so they become its willing pawns when they are older.

But anyway, stop spouting catchphrases, Frigid, and think on things more deeply. It's like as soon as someone takes you up on one thing you think "oh well, I lost that one, but at least I can bring up the environment".

Stupid, corrupt, misguided, greedy, and dangerous cunts in power is no new thing. This may be a revelation to some, but all you need to do is pick up a book on Ancient History. It has always been a part of civilisation, and always will be - since the system (and ultimately the people) allows it to be so. So long as there is a complex system of people trying to live together as a functioning unit, there will be those exploiting it.

As for the environment; yeah it will fuck us up, but the planet (and life itself) will be quite fine. The oceans rising is actually enormously beneficial for global ecosystems. Not so good for our coastal cities. So, yeah. We are in some serious trouble, but we are not facing extinction and the world will not die. Ecosystems will certainly readjust over the course of time and replenish themselves much the same way as they always have. But our industrialised society had better make some serious adjustments to slow the enormous changes that are coming, and also to be prepared for them when they do. Unfortunately for us, it's usually too late when people start to take a crisis seriously.

Sorry guys, but I've got no one else to vent this on. Everyone here hates all americans (i like new york), so i come here... Anyway, I'm opposed to just sitting around and accepting it all as inevitable. That's bullcrap. The world is fucked, true, but if it's a matter of a few billion years or a few hundred, then I'd labor to make it a billion.

The idea that mankind could destroy the world is such a preposterously arrogant notion.

Sure, we'll eventually wipe ourselves out, or at the very least our society, but we even if we make the world a nuclear graveyard for a thousand years, life will return and the rest of the universe will be none the wiser that things slowed down for the blink of an eye on the tiny blue planet.
