I like Hammers of Misfortune/Lord Weird Slough Feg who are both also on cruz del sur, are these guys anything like them/have you heard either of those two bands?

Hmmm, dont know much about those bands, sorry. The little Ive heard of Hammers, Crescent Shield is more traditional and less epic than their material. Both suffer from mediocre production values on their latest albums, which is a shame.

In my humble opinion Slough Feg and Hammers of Misfortune are heads and shoulders above Crescent Shield, which is a combo of Destiny's End and Onward. The first two are epic, progressive non-traditional, and this is blah.

I listened to the songs on their myspace, I'm not sure if it was because of the production but they sounded kind of flat; like a band going through the motions rather than making music they were really passionate about.

Well I think everybody is a bit to harsh on CS. Although I'll admit that I am slightly dissapointed with the end product.

This is solid classic american heavy metal record which losses some of its impact due to a dull production job. Reminds me of the whole Enemies Of Reality mess and how the potential of the album was muted by some horrible production job. Thank jebus for the remixed version.

When I first listened to this I was surprised that production quality was not any better than the demo's I had heard. I expected Last of My Kind to really slay as it is its a great song but the production doesn't due it any favour.
