I'm still holding out for Immortal's Battles In The North, at least as an archive review.

A persistent metal head will track down whatever his little heart desires. It took me forever but I managed to find Time tells no Lies by Praying Mantis, and Reality turns to Dust by Drifter. You've had plenty of time to look for the album. You get no sympathy from me. But seriously, if you want it, I'll put up a yousendit link with the album for everyone's listening pleasure.

Oh darn, and here I was expecting some.

Thanks, but no thanks for the mp3's, I prefer CD's. Guess I'll just have to continue being the quasi-persistent little metalhead.

So how would they be considered classics if nobody has heard them or can find them?

I still want to see Edge of Sanity's 'Crimson' reviewed on here.
That CD, if anything is a masterpiece, :)

Many people have heard the album, many people including myself and a certain number of my friends own the actual album. You see, it is so good, that people will take the time to find it. If I were you I'd take the Mp3s. It seems absurd to skip out on listening to an album just because its a copy and not the original. The music is exactly the same, in fact there will be a few bonus tracks on it that you wouldnt find on the original. But whatever, suit yourself.

I really would rather find the CD. How about this, give me another couple weeks to track it down. If I still can't find it at a reasonable price, I'll let you know, and gladly take the mp3's. If it's as good as you say it is, I will give it a proper review.

EDIT: This is what I'm talking about. On eBay, I can only find the LP for $30. On Amazon shops, the lowest price for the CD is $100. This thing's like Michael Jordan's rookie card or some shit.

OK, I found it on some online distro from Greece. The samples of it I've heard coupled with your constant bellyaching about its greatness convinced me to pay a little more for it than I usually would for a CD ($22), but that's still a pretty good deal considering how rare it appears to be. I have no idea how long shipping takes from Greece, but once it gets here, I'll try to slip in a review when I can.

Ive just heard Time Tells No Lies and i liked it very much, the band is more on the softer side of NWOBHM, not soft as in "pussies" but that theyre more Rock than Metal (kinda like Tokyo Blade or White Spirit), and they manage to maintain that vibe during the whole album, unlike other bands that mix Rock with Metal for that classic NWOBHM sound, Praying Mantis rock you out from start to finish with this album, no song is filler here but some of them are more catchier than others specially Rich City Kids, i have a felling that this song might have been the single for this album, my least favourite was Cheated, when the song started my first thought was : "Thin Lizzy" but the chorus almost ruined the song for me and i say almost because i still like it, the backing vocals not that much, other thing that i liked about this album was the guitar work, both the riffs and leads are done very tastefully here.
I would recomend this album to any NWOBHM, fan especially if they like the rockier side of the scene, and if anyone is interested i could easily provide them the link to where i found this album via PM, or if Adam agrees i could post it on this topic.

About Court In The Act i could also try to upload it if anyone wants it, the album is fucking killer and i would recomend it to every Metalhead, no matter what kind of metal youre into you still need to hear this and unless youre a collector i dont really see the need to pay 100 bucks for an out of print album, but if this album gets a reissue i would definitely buy it.

On another note a friend of mine send me a copy of Mass - War Law ripped from his LP, and its fuking great :dio:

Yes i agree, Time Tells No Lies is a wonderful album. They are very rocking. Too bad the first two songs suck. Cheated should not have been on the album, however, every other song is absolutely brilliant. Running For Tommorrow and Beads of Ebony have two of the greatest riffs ever written. Lovers to the Grave sounds like NWOBHM Pink Floyd with Rainbow solos galore. Children of the Earth has some of the greatest vocal lines ever, and so on and so forth. The album with the exception of the first two songs is a masterpeice.

Well, I got it in the mail today, and it is indeed awesome. I had heard Trial By Fire before, but under poor sound quality. Great album, well worth paying $22 for. I'll try to get a review in soon.
