A 19-year-old Saudi woman who was kidnapped, beaten and gang raped by seven men who then took photos of their victim and threatened to kill her, was sentenced under the country's Islamic-based law to 90 lashes for the "crime" of being alone with a man not related to her.

Apparently this kind of psychotic justice isn't limited to Islam, a guy from Australia's daughter is facing 5 months in prison for assaulting her rapist....

It's a bad, bad world.

There's stuff like that everywhere, right? I remember the story about a burglar who fell through a glass window in the roof of a house, cut himself on some kitchen knives lying below him, and sued the owner of house for that.

Fact is, only in those towelhead countries can they actually get away with it.

Ha, I got a funny story.

A couple of years ago me and an uncle of mine went to a hockey game. When the game was over we went to a little store owned by some turbin heads, it was cold and lots of snow outside. So when we came in my uncle banged his feet off on the carpet at the front door. As he was doing this, another turibin head was exiting the store and he gave my uncle a dirty look. My uncle than said "Im sorry, were you about to fly away on that?" I never laughed so hard, but felt so bad at the same time. The guy just gave him an even dirtier look and continued out the door. Once we got back to our car, we had a good laugh.

Dude.

Islam in essence is a religion of peace and harmony, though these motherfuckers have turned it into shit. Extremists without any thought or logic to analyze.




Bottom line: Fuck religion.

It's hard to keep in mind that all of Islam supposedly isn't like this when you hear something as ridiculous as this...

That one image just about sums up the world, never mind Islam. The human race is just one big crazy contradiction.

One thing that is cool about Saudi Arabia is the fact that it's third King, Faisal, looks like Jafar from Disney's Aladdin.



Other than that, it is probably one of the world's absolute most backwards societies, this story noodles posts is nothing new and probably happens on a very regular basis. Women are completely rightless there, of course... Curious that Fox should be spreading bad publicity about one of the US's greatest allies, however.

Restorative justice will solve all the problems, but only when the legal system changes its own premisses.

When you adopt this justice model all the crazy stories will disappear.

So she was with a man that was not her relative, and got lashed for that. The fact that she was kidnapped and raped does not have anything to do with her punishment. If I drive through a red light and get robbed the minute after, that does not mean I shouldn't be paying for driving through red. Obviously, a severe physical punishment for being with some guy other than your husband or family is ridiculous, but keep in mind that not too long ago, the mental punishment for women who "misbehaved" in the eyes of the church was very common in the Western world as well.
