If you look at the past 100 years in the west we're not any better concerning stupidity. Sure, we have never punished victims, but we've still "punished" alot of innocent ppl, weither they were black, jews or arabs for that matter. Nowadays it's innocent arabs who sometimes gets kidnapped by CIA to get tortured for months (along with guilty arabs as well, of course).

Well that's some sad shit. The problem is that Islamic laws are their federal laws over there. You can't run away from it. I just thank God that Malaysia is not like that. Our constitution rules that the Federal law is higher than our Syariah law, so there is still a chance of escaping 'out of this world' punishment.

By the way, it's illegal in Islam that an unwedded couple be at close proximity. It's called 'khalwat'. The religious departments here in Malaysia are fond of arresting couple in close proximity, especially in secluded areas. You get punished for that. And if you're non Muslim caught with a Muslim girl in a secluded area, you're fucked as well. But if the both of you aren't Muslims, it's safe......although they might just drop an indecent behaviour charge on you.

There is one state in Malaysia however, who is ruled by the opposition, and they are very Islamic. A few years ago they were close to constituting a new law that if a girl is raped, she can only press charges on her rapist(s) only IF the act was witnessed by four people. That caused a scene here. Witnessed by four people?!! That's stupid! Luckily the Federal Government intervened and stopped the enactment from being passed. If they hadn't done that, there would a massive raping spree in that state.

that behavior seems rather similar to that of some of the christian religious sects that resides in USA. Seen several programs about these self-proclaimed prophets who mary lot's of women at the same time. A very easy way to get laid all the time.

There are limits to a society's tolerance, and I imagine there will one day be situation where Islam is as welcome as Nazism in the West.

Anyway, in Islam, it's legal for a Muslim man to marry up to 4 wives. I'm serious. It's stated in their holy Quran. But according to the Quran, the men can marry 3 more women (the first being the wife) as a noble deed. They are encouraged to marry divorced women or even widows, to give these women a new hope. This rule was kinda appropriate back then (some hundreds of years ago) as many women lost their husbands to war. But now, it's seems like the in thing to do.

Here in Malaysia, there are many Muslim men who abuse this right to marry many women. It's very popular here for 70 year old dead pricks marrying gorgeous 20 year old virgins.

But things have turned for the worst also. The rate of marital problems have increased since the peak of this issue. There was once a lady splashed acid onto her husband's face when she found out he was taking another bride.

Ironic, given that the reason we don't like Nazism is because it deems people unwelcome based on their religion.

it wasn't a video, btw... it was just some statemenst about Muhammad, who f.ex. married a 6-years-old (i heard it was a 9-years-old, however) and his son's wife, who gladly gave his wife away.

Fundamental and radical Islamism is extreme political fascism, but since when has that had any significant presence in the west at all anyway? Unless you're talking about suicide bombings etc, but they were never tolerated in the first place. Or unless you are talking about Muslims in general... In that case all of the ones I have met that have had anything at all to do with politics whatsoever have been involved in things like Respect or the SWP- hardly fascism...

I'm with Rio on this one. If you're going to look at the extremes of religion then Christianity is just as bad :\
