Musically this is a solid album, but like the early Trivium records, the music can't save it when the screaming is horrendous. The clean vocals are good, the screams are downright painful to listen to.

I agree...good musically, hard to accept on the vocal level....it kind of reminds me of how I feel when it comes to "3 Inches of Blood"....

"The Reaper Waits" is a pretty killer song by them. It's on another album, though.

I actually like both this album and the debut a lot. Sure, it's metalcore, but it's still really good once you get to like the vocals.
