Dream Theater should say they were disappointed with Octavarium and release an album on par with Images & Words again. :]
Im not a real big fan of Dream Theater, but i thought Oct. had much better songs than most of their releases. real songs, rather than songs wrapped around jams.
My favorite DT album is scenes from a memory, but if they had cut the album down to like, 20 minutes, it would be a gem, as it is, its only ok to me.
Octavarium had some gems on it, but damn some of the songs just sound whiny and stupid. I wanna know what the hell went through their minds when they recorded "These Walls" and made them say "Yeah, this is a good song" ...'Cuz the lyrics are horrible. And the music is really really sub-par for too. Not just for Dream Theater, I would expect better of any Prog band, really.
And Scenes From A Memory is my favorite besides Images & Words. I didn't like it that much at first, but the more I listen to it, the more wonderful it becomes.

I liked that album because i felt like they did strip away some of that overindulgent music that one does expect from a prog band and made just a good rock album. The only song i didn't like on it was "i walk beside you"
Scenes from a memory was growing on me with each listen for a while, then it took a steep decline when i got really familiar with the songs and just wanted the solo's to be over so they would get back to the song.
