I was in a bit of a quandary when I wrote that bit; I like Nightwish though not really a Tarja fan but I like Christina's voice but not much fussed on Lacuna Coil. Perhaps I should have gone with Nightwish on steroids with Christina on vocals. Then again, I'd still say Marina Viotti has a greater vocal range than either Tarja or Christina. To be totally frank, Marina has a unique voice that is totally her own and can't really be compared to anyone else's. She must have something though, to grab my attention, as I don't really pay too particular attention to vocalists unless they are really, really bad or really, really good. Maybe it is the French accent that got me all gooey eyed and slack jawed
Marina aside, I also thought the musicianship was 'kin' awesome, am listening to it now and will probably still be listening to it next month; next year even!!!!!
