i don't care much for the lyrics, but the music is pretty cool (i'm talking about Rise Against).

np - Machine Head - The Blackening
so slow! Aesthetics and Clenching The Fists are the only fast ones, and the later slows down around half-way through. both of them rock, i wish the album had more fast songs like that.

btw Machine Head was playing in the train today! some stations have tv's tuned to the subway's own television system, and they were playing the video for Aesthetics. the band was credited as "head machine" but hey, i'd rather listen to "head machine" than the garbage they usually play there.

Eibon-Mirror Soul Jesus
I had no idea they'd recorded any songs. I sounds kind of like ABITNS era Darkthrone with Phil Anselmo on vocals. Surprisingly not completely shit.

If I'm not mistaken, that song is the only thing to ever come out of the Eibon project. The Archives removed them from the database since they were pretty much a band in name only. If you go to Phil Anselmo's website, you'll find about 30 "bands" and side projects that he's never actually done anything with.

Wow. The dude needs to actually concentrate on one band. To be honest, I think Eibon maybe could have been a gateway for some kids into black metal, as they may have checked out who these Fenriz and Satyr guys were.

twilight - s/t

hmm.. not as bad as i thought i remembered it to be :P lovely sentence...

i think it could have been better if the songs contained somewhat of a red threat in terms of style - other that buzzy style. But still nice
