anyway, besides the looks, i have to say that this is one of the shittiest bands i've ever heard, considering their fame and production values. there is absolutely no redeeming musical value in this band. the songs i heard (er, two i think) in the telly were heartless, boring, bland and instantly forgetable. at least most popular RnB, for example, is catchy (for better or for worse).

the sheer shittiness of this band has prompted me to open this topic. i mean, seriously, these guys suck horse dick.

and in a related topic i was watching TV one day and this really "grandiose" video came up. after like 6 hours the song actually started, and it sucked too. it was 30 Seconds to Mars's "from yesterday". again, boring and completely forgettable. what do people hear in this garbage?
anyway the video must've cost a fortune, and i hope the band gets dropped after wasting so much of the record company's money:

for once, i will have to say it - i find no reason for someone to like this garbage. it's not even catchy, for crying out loud. complete shit. there is not a single memorable moment in this music, for better or for worse. even the RnB, rap and emo crap on mtv is better than this, at least they sound like they're playing music that they like (and they probably do, good for them). now this stuff is just so damn heartless...

to sum this up:

30 seconds to Mars aren't that bad. Nothing I would buy an album from, but the're not terrible. However, I completely agree that Tokio Hotel sucks royal balls. Not as bad as the worst hip-hop and RnB, but as far as music with guitars go they're definitely one of the worst bands I've ever heard. Their music is so incredibly dull and uninspiring they pretty much make Lacuna Coil sound like Dragonforce..

dunno about 30STS, i only heard that song (btw, what do you think of it?).

there are probably worse sounding garage bands out there, but bands like these have strong label support and large production values yet they sound like shit.

Pretty damn cheap, but pretty decent nonetheless. I've heard much worse popular stuff.

when i first saw the video on that mcm channel i just thought "gay", then i saw it on portuguese tv and the hate just started fermenting.

seriously, factoring in their fame, record label support and all that, tokio hotel is one of the very worst bands i've ever heard. the music is so "empty" i don't even know where to start.

i've never been so glad my sister hates 90% of all rock, i'd rather have her blasting out Beyonce than this garbage.

On a second listen I do agree that this is utterly terrible indeed, and empty...but they're kinda bad in a hilarious way, I mean it just screams "we're signed because some record company needed another young and cute looking emo band".

You want bad? Look up a singer called Lily Allen.

30 Seconds To Mars sucks too. Just 'cuz an actor is in the band, gimme a break. That video killed absolutely any sort of bug in me that thought they were decent. I have a new least-favorite video now.
