New Reverend Bizarre due out in August!

Details

A 2-Disc Set more than 2 hours long!! I need new pants.

A shame it'll be their last album, but what a note to leave on. Should be a contender for album of the year.

More info here

I just discovered them yesterday and though about making a thread. So far I've only heard In The Rectory of the Bizarre Reverend ( king crimson reference) but I've listened to it like 3 times in the last two days... which is pretty nuts for an 80 minute album.

imo its their best album yet. 2 hours makes it a little hard to listen to all at once (but I guess the fact that I want to listen to all 2 hours of it every time I start it says something...)

i dunno... nothing really unexpected on the album... it's just really good.

Yup, i agree with noodles. It`s really good and it sounds like another RB classic. They have seriously little to none weak material, one of the very best doom bands to have graced gods cruel kingdom. (sorry got a little poetic there hehe) And there is more Reverend to look forward to. They will be releasing a 2 CD set with rare stuff...really looking forward to that plus there are a few '7's LPs in the works. hope it gets released..

They planned that were going to 5 albums (that's right...they planned how many albums they were going to release and what they were going to be called!!!) But alas, we only got 3 albums. Here's to hoping that Peter Vicar keeps the RB flame burning with his Lord Vicar project and to a somewhat exstent Albert's The Puritan project. Peter Vicar also has a prog band called Orne which is really good, you might wanna check that out noodles.

Yeah I've heard Orne, it's a little on the cheesy side for my tastes but as far as that sort of thing goes really good (did that make sense?). Its good we can still look for to more stuff from these three even if they're not together :)

Yeah this album is godly. It's ridiculously long but the instant I start it I want to listen to it all the way through.
