Funny this got bumped up just now, I've been listening to it a fair bit over the past week and it's surprising how much staying power it's had with me since I bought it about a year ago. There's just a huge "it" factor over the whole thing, maybe because of the raw, "meat and potatoes" feel to it (no keyboards, few effects). I'm not surprised when you say it was recorded under a lot of pressure, it does sound that way, but I think that's a large part of the charm about it. Quite a "less than perfect" sound for power metal somehow, even with the execution being tight and all, I don't know how to explain it really. If not for The Dogma, I would have called best power metal album of 2006 on this one.
EDIT: well while at favorite songs...I'll take Leaving All Behind, Never Again and No Chances Lost myself.
