I hate these stupid fucking historical apologies, and this one is worse than most. Now Rome just needs to apologize to the rest of Europe and part of Asia for fucking everyone over, and Athens to Sparta and Sparta to Athens and this farce will be complete. Whippee!

perhaps it was inevitable.. i mean... Ireland apparently have one of our vikingships representing raidings, murder etc... so it's kinda hard for a minister to state that he's proud of such ship without pointing out what exactly he's proud of. Perhaps the so-called appology was scaled up by journalists, i dunno... i haven't heard anything about on tv untill FS told me.

those raidings wasn't national business anyway. Back then the country was divided between smaller kings. So hardly think you could regards the ppl back then as danes or area as Denmark. The ppl who went on raidings were in generel rich ppl and their men.

But like everyone else says. Historical apologies are idiotic. The Irish ppl "probably" don't remember our raidings and probably don't care nowadays anyway. Just like i don't care about that England bombarded Copenhagen in 1807 and stole our fleet (due to Napoleon)... Why should ppl appologize for something their "forefathers" did in the first place?

The Jews didn't do a goddamn thing to Jesus. It was all the Romans, over politics. The Roman religion was a state one, and they saw any threat to their religion as a threat to temporal power. That's why they assimilated other religions into their own, like they did in the British isles. The Jesus thing was because his little cult was getting too uppity, so they tried to squash it (nice going, guys). So basically, it's just Italy.

Correct me if I'm wrong Kayla, but doesn't it say somewhere in the Talmud that Jesus (paraphrasing here, obviously) got what was coming to him? This is simply a copycat thingy from what the Japanese PM Koizumi did to apologize to former Korean sex slaves that served the Japs during WWII. But funnily, what he tought to be as a noble apology received serious backlash from the Koreans, claiming his visit to the war shrine as unholy. Fuck the Japs.
